CHAPTER - VII MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS Dewatering by pumpsincluding all leads, lifts and making all arrangements of disposal.where continuous flow of water from a source other than natural orground water is encountered in case of emergency maintenanceworks related to leakage. breakage and making wet connections.[Note ;- In case of any other situation demanding such emergencydewatering. use of this item is to be approved by the SuperintendingEngineer/Tender Accepting Authority. This item shall be executed onthe specific direction duly supported by proper clarification of theE.I.C. who will be satisfied in absolute discretion that such work hasnot been necessitated due to any natural source of water or any faultof the Contractor]

MATERIALS AND LABOUR 1. Building (B) Labour Rates Per Diem :3)Mazdoor (Male). Note: (I)The above rates of labour are exclusive of10% contractors profit and 1% Labour welfare cess which would beadmissible to the Contractors, but contractual percentage will not beapplicable. (II) The workersemployed on high rise building or anystructure over 30 ft in height and also workers engaged in Tunnelshall be paid 20% extra wages.

PROTECTIVE AND LINING WORKS IN CANALS & CHANNELSAND OTHER FLOOD PROTECTIVE MEASURES 2.26.Labourcharges for dumping and placing in position properly filled in Nyloncrates with filled in gunny / poly cement bags (minimum 25 nos.having capacity 50 kg) with local earth or sand, sewing and tying thecrate with nylon wire within a lead of 150 m. and all lifts in river slopeor bed by cutting trenches upto 50 cms depth, if necessary, or by boatincluding cost of hire charges of boat, boatmen and other necessaryequipments and also including cost of bags, carriage and charge offilling bags with earth / sand but excluding cost of nylon crate as perdirection of the Engineer ... in ... Charge. NB:- Volume of each earth/sand filled bags should not be less than 0.028 m3. Size of Nylon crateis 1metre X 1metre X 1metre. (a) Where boats are not necessary.
