| 5 | M&L for repairs to pot holes, not exc 1 square metre each, including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, on existing road surfaces, and making good applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 sqm of paving bitumen (VG-30), blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipping, depth of pot holes exc 30mm, complete all as specified and as directed.Note : Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by GE. Pot holes shall be marked and checked by Engineer-in-Charge. 100% quantity before commencement of work and shall also be entered in MB with reference to permanent objects before starting carpating work. |
| 6 | M&L for preparing black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism, providing, laying, spreading 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) of premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller and Vibromax roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.Notes : (i) The work shall be executed as per design mix approved by GE. (ii) Paving bitumen primer of Grade VG-10 for tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, applying tack coat, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (iv) Bituminous concrete shall be mixed in drum type hot mix plant, transported from plant to work at site and laid/spread by means of mechanical paver finisher. (v) Filler for bitumen concrete shall be OPC grade @ 2% of total mix. (vi) Contractor shall quote his rate on the basis of binder as mentioned in this item. If there is any minus variation in the actual binder content used as per design mix approved by GE, the rate shall be adjusted as per invoice submitted by the contractor per Kg of binder used. However no price adjustment shall be made if the binder content works out to more than as specified in this item. (vii) As per design mix for bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrere. The contractor will be brought 01 unit quality material at site and the same will be mixed at site and the laying will be done in front of Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 7 | M&L for providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading by means of mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and as directed.Notes:- (i) Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by GE. | 10 | S&F for Delineator made out of 2mm thick steel sheet rectangular OD pipe of size 75x100mm and of length 1200mm. Bottom plate 2mm thick of size 150x150mm for firm grip welded to base. Top end closed with 2mm steel sheet. At top on both sides diamond grade cube corner micro white reflector of size 75x125mm laminated in 2mm deep cavity to make it scratch resistant. All coated with heat process & baked to 120 degree or powder coated to make all weather resistant. Post to have two bands all around of colour white/yellow/red reflective sheet of width 225mm by keeping black coat as bands for greater night visibility.
