Earth work by mechinical / manual means in rough excavation, banking excavated earth in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, breaking clods, watering, rolling each layer with ½ tonne roller or wooden or steel rammers, and rolling every 3rd and top-most layer with power roller of minimum 8 tonnes and dressing up in embankments for roads, flood banks, marginal banks and guide banks or filling up ground depressions for all lead and for all lift including dressing, dewatering and removal of slush etc. if any :

Supplying and Filling earth (Plastic Limit less than 20) obtained from approved quarries free from all organic vegetation and foreign matter including all royalities, taxes, mining cess etc., handling and transportation to site, spreading in layers of not exceeding 150 mm within GAIL premises after dressing and removal small bushes or vegetation/slush if any , watering, compacting by mechanical means by power driven roller/ vibratory compactor of minimum 8-10 tonne capacity. The density to be achieved shall not be less than 90% of the density obtained in the laboratory (modified proctor method)

Clearing jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth up to 30 cm measured at a height of 1m above ground level and removal of rubbish/slush including dewatering if any and disposal outside GAIL premises at an area without attracting objection from local authorities.
