Consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MaRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- In case of width of road widening is lesser, contractor has to arrange roller of lesser width for compaction. |
| 4 | Material and labour for providing, laying and compacting 150 mm thick (compacted thickness ) WMM laid in two layers of 75 mm each thick (compacted thickness) Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) grading as per table 400-13 of MaRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading manually and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-1OOKN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge Notes:-(i) The finished surface tolerances shall be as per Table 900-1 of MaRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013. (II) In case of width of road widening is lesser, contractor has to arrange roller of lesser width for compaction. |
| 5 | Material and labour for preparing of unsurfaced wet mix macadam by brushing with wire brushed for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning to cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc from surface and applying evenly a premix /tack coat with bituminous primer (using paving bitumen VG-10) @10.00 Kg per ten Sqm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 6 | Material and labour for providing and laying Premix Bituminous macadam of consolidated thickness less than 75 mm,using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 @ with binder content 4% by weight of total mix and mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher (Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using B.M.) and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 504 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. NOTES :(i). The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CI. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BM shall be worked out from Thapar Insti. of Engg & Tech Patiala/NIT Kurukhshetra /PEC Chandigarh/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval bfore commencement of work. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side.(ii) The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within in a maximum of 48 hours. If their is to be any delay, by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately. |
| 7 | Material and labour for applying evenly a priming /tack coat with bitumen grade VG-10 @ 5.0 Kg per ten Sqm over premix bitumous macadam surface complete all as specified and as directed BY Engineer-in-charge. |
| 8 | Material and labour for providing and laying Premix Bituminous asphaltic dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder ( using paving bitumen of grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2, mixing of agrgregates with VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hyrdostatic paver finisher and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 9 | NOTES : (i). The contractor shall quotes the rate against Item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CIause. (iv). The vintage of the T&P (Hot mix plant/road roller i.e. vidrating roller,static roller,hydraulic roller/paver) to be incorporated in the wk should not be more than 10 years except the tippers and shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work.(v). The certificate wrt the capactiy of the hot mix plant (HMP) shall be 100-120 TPH and the plant shall be electronic operated, batch type and location be intimlated and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work. |
| 10 | (vi). The distance of the HMP shall not be more than 100 KM from the Mil Stn Patiala. Detail of plant to be submitted to GE for approval before date of commencement of the work.(vii). The calibration certificate for HMP shall be submittaed by the contractor for approval of GE before date of commencement of the work which should not be more than 06 months old.(viii). The minimum 2 Road roller each (vibrating and static road roller) are required at site before commencement of the work on the groung and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work. |
