| 16 | Supply , delivery and stacking of Machine crushed Ballast from black stone of 50 mm size clean angular, hard and durable track ballast as per specification and stacking the same on cess of the formation or toe at suitable place as directed by EIC at site. The rate includes all costs of lead, lift, royalty, sales tax, and other taxes and duties, as well as all incidental charges, complete as applicable. Tools, Plants, and screens of approved mesh and dimensions required for inspection and passing at the time of measurement must be arranged by the contractor. The rate also includes the leveling of the ground, if necessary, where the ballast is to be stacked.Note: 75% of the payment shall be released upon acceptance of the net quantity, and the balance of 25% shall be released after the spread. |
| 17 | Handling, lifting and leading of ballast from stacks with all lead,lift,ascent,descent,crossing Road/Rly lines etc. which have been duly measured and released for spreading and spreading the ballast on formation to ensure uniform and compact ballast cushion under the sleepers. The rate shall include spreading of ballast as per specified line and level and maintaining approved profile as provided in the technical specifications. Spreading of ballast on formation will be done only after supply is completed for a particular stretch as decided by Engineer in charge and ballast stacks have been released for spreading. Quantity of ballast used and payment thereof shall be made for the net quantity of ballast. |

| 20 | Excavation of earth , overburden ,etc. from the track and screening of complete ballast section of the track through seive of specified size up to a depth as specified below bottom of sleeper . This include opening of ballast , digging down for the following depth below the bottom of sleeper , taking out caked ballast and muck etc, from the entire section , putting back of cleaned ballast as per required ballast profile , throwing away screened muck , overburden etc. on the toe of the bank or on the cess if low or above the top of cutting lead not exceeding 300m as per direction of Engineer-in-charge , grading the bed to the edge og formation for effective drainage and including Two round kucha packing with ballast up to a depth of 200 mm below of sleeper. |
