| 5 | Dismantling of MS Plates in bottom, shell & roof of CRVT/ FRVT/ IFRVT Tanks either partly or in full as directed, by gas/hacksaw cutting from the existing weld seams & removing the MS plates from the tank by mechanical means, with utmost precaution and neatly straightening and storing at a place indicated by site engineer anywhere in IOC premises, etc complete irespective of lead and lift as directed. The rate includes the cost of labour, gases, providing necessary temporary supports, safe walk ladder, safety precautions, etc., all necessary equipments, all necessary structures, clamps, suitable non-combustible material wedges, etc. complete to the satisfaction of site-in-charge. Plan area and average thickness of steel plates will be considered for calculating the quantity of dismantled plates. Weight of appurtenances will not be considered seperately in measurement and no extra payment for the same will be made. Note: Contractor has to submit the dismantling methodology clearly stating the restraining techniques to be involved so that circularity of the undamaged Shell plates remains undisturbed, prior to commencement of work and has to get it approved from IOCL. Steel Plates, structures, apputenances, etc should be dismantled with utmost care as these are to be reutilised. |
| 6 | Supply of Mild Steel Plates of suitable width and length ranging in thickness from 5 mm to 28 mm as required, conforming to IS 2062 Gr. 'B' / IS 2062 E250B, Fully Killed (Un-trimmed and un-normalized condition of approved make). Rate should also include cost of inspection by IOCL approved 3rd Party inspection agency as listed elsewhere in the tender document.The item should be executed with prior approval from Engineering Department. |
| 7 | Structural Steel Works in Vertical Tanks: Supplying, transporting, fabricating, erecting Structural Steel work from rolled sections and built-up sections like flats, tees, angles, channels, plates, pipes, etc for various structural elements as required . Preparation of drawing, design & specification shall be arranged by contractor at his own cost as per guidance of IOCL. Item also includes Painting as per below mentioned painting scheme : i. Surface Preparation : St-2 / St-3 ii. Primer : P4- Self priming HB epoxy mastic coating - 1 Coat, DFT 100-125µ iii. Intermediate Coat : U1- Polyamide cured HB Epoxy MIO - 1 Coat, DFT 100-125µ iv. Finish Coat: F1- Two pack Acrylic Poly-Urethane (PU) - 1 Coat, DFT 40-50µ Total DFT minm 240µ etc. all complete as per drawing, specification and direction of Site-In-Charge.However, painting scheme for structural steel work inside tank to be considered as per painting scheme of the internal surface of that tank. The make of Structural Steel / tubular steel shall be of SAIL/ Tata/ RINL/ Jindal or equivalent as approved by EIC. In case some small Mild Steel sections are not manufactured by SAIL/Tata, steel of other manufactuer may be used which must confirm the relevant IS code with prior approval of Engineer-In-Charge.\\" |
| 8 | FABRICATION, ERECTION & WELDING OF MS PLATES OR STRUCTURALS FOR REPAIR OF EXISTING CR / IFR / EFR VERTICAL TANKS FOR PRODUCT / WATER STORAGE OR ANY OTHER STRUCTURAL WORKS: Item includes replacement of bottom, annular, shell and roof plates in existing Tank. It also includes replacement of shell manhole reinforcement plate, wind girder plates, other structurals like staircase, ladder, handrail, crossover, bridges, pipe support structures etc. All other items such as labour, equipment, power, consumables, etc shall be supplied by contractor. While replacing roof plates of existing tanks, special care should be taken to avoid local sagging/depression in the roof plates.Note :a) The steel plates shall be of Mild Steel Plate conforming to IS 2062 GR.'B' / IS 2062 E250B fully killed & will be free issue material for this item.b) Item does not include dismantling of damaged plate in existing tanks.c) Rate to include making all arrangment for proper installation of new plates after dismantling of damaged plates.d) The rate shall be inclusive of provision of metalic tubular scaffolding up to required height as per site condition.e) Item does not include any painting works of steel plates.f) Radiography will be paid separately as welding shall conform to radiography quality. |
| 9 | Welding (5 to 8 mm thick plate):Cleaning, gouging/grinding /bevelling as required and carrying out welding of joints of required size wherever required/left out on the tank after surface preparation by grinding if required. Item includes testing of weld joints by DP test, chalk kerosene etc, if required. Scaffolding , if required, will be paid separately. |
| 10 | Removal of existing internal paint including primer completely by grit blasting to SA 2 1/2. Scaffolding if required will be paid separately. |
| 11 | Supplying, providing of safe tubular double stage (box type) Scaffolding outside the tank as per specification & satisfaction of location in charge. After use, the same shall be dismantled and taken away by the contractor. Payments shall be made for actual area of scaffolding provided based on requirement. Area of scaffolding will be measured on the basis of actual height of scaffolding provided multiplied by actual average length of scaffolding provided. |
| 12 | Designing, supplying, fabricating, welding, bolting, riveting, assembling and erecting in position 8.0 M high Fire Screen Wall around the tank with GI sheets with cross supports, etc (temporary required local) as per alignment shown by site Engineer, maintaining same till the completion of entire work and dismantling the entire screen wall, carting away the dismantled materials from site, redoing the entire existing surface to the original condition, etc complete.The 8M high Fire Screen Wall including the foundation is to be designed and approved by a ''Licensed Structural Engineer'' and should be suitable for local soil bearing capacity, wind speed, etc. |
| 13 | Provision of stiffners arrangements to the existing tank shell nozzles as per Drawing no. HO/ENG/GA/NOZ/ROSOV dtd 07.07.16, the job includes supply, fabrication , erection and welding of stiffner plates 4 nos per each nozzle.The stiffner plate shall be 250x150x10 mm thick or as required and at 90 degree Apart. The stiffner plate shall be welded to tank reinforcement PAD plate on one side and nozzle pipe on other side.The item is applicable for 3\\"\\" and above size nozzles. The rate of fire screen & scaffolding if required shall be provided extra as per respective items.Item also includes mechanical cleaning and painting with two coats of RED oxide primer and two caots of Synthetic enamel paint. |
| 14 | Structural Steel Work riveted, bolted or welded in built up sections, trusses & framed work including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer all complete: |
| 15 | Weld build-up of all deep pits at corroded sections of shell/roof/bottom/annular plates and wherever required using electrode of appropriate class with minimum current application and ground flushing. Item will be measured in square meter of plate area bounded by pits built-up by welding. In case isolated pit(s) are weld build-up, minimum area paid will be 0.5 M2. |
| 16 | Conducting Dye Penetration Test on the new weld joints (shell to bottom plate, pad plates for roof supports, lower deck plate with leg sleeve, manhole neck, rolling ladder, etc) after welding. |
