Replacement of Six numbers of Guide Ropes of PIT No. 01 and 02 winders of Patmohana Colliery under Sodepur Area.

Laying of New Guide Rope:Laying of the 150m. new guiderope on the surface from the front of the headgear structure up to the coal depot 8(Un-skilled) heads & 1 (Highly-Skilled) heads.

Dismantling and Removal of Old Guiderope : -i) Clamping of guiderope with the cage at the pit top. Dismantling of guideropc anchor at the pit bottom to facilitate removal of the old guiderope. ii) Cutting of guidcrope at a point above the clamping position at the pit top. Lowering of old guiderope using the cage and winch, and manually laying it at the shaft level. iii) Dismantling of guidcrope clamp at the headgear structure and removing remaining guidcrope from above the headgear structure using the winch.8(Un-skilled) heads & 1 (Highly-Skilled) heads.

Lowering of new Guiderope and Anchoring at PIT Bottom:- i) Form a hook at one end of the new guiderope and connect it to the flexible rope of the winch. ii) Lifing the guiderope above the headgear structure using the winch so that the other end hangs just above the pit top.iii) Clamping of guiderope with the cage and lowering it to the pit bottom using the winder's brake and winch.iv) Clamping and securring of guiderope at the pit bottom.8(Un-skilled) heads & 1 (Highly-Skilled) heads.

Tensioning of Guiderope Using Winch and Engine: -i) lifting of cage upto to the pit top after clamping/anchoring,. Clamping of the guiderope (to be tensioned) with the cage at the pit top.ii) Connecting of other end of the guiderope to the flexible rope of the winch. Lifting of cage using the winder's engine, applying the required tension with the winch and engine, and then clamping of guiderope securely at the pit top.5(Un-skilled) heads & 1 (Highly-Skilled) heads.
