| 16 | Providing and applying a multiple-coats waterproofing system comprising one coat of water based acrylic primer at a consuption 8 sqm per kg and three coats of topcoat, capable of resisting up to 10 bars of positive hydrostatic pressure. The system shall have a crack-bridging ability of up to 6.5 mm, elongation up to 400%, tensile strength up to 3.5 MPa, and puncture resistance greater than 200 N. The system shall also provide up to 10°C reduction in surface temperature for terraces.Primer Application:Apply one coat of primer at a consumption rate of 100–150 g/sq.m and allow it to dry for 4 to 6 hours.Topcoat Application:Apply the first coat of undiluted material using a brush or roller and allow it to dry for 4 to 6 hours.Apply the second coat diluted with 30% water and lay 50 GSM fleece over the wet coat. Ensure that there are no folds or wrinkles while spreading the fleece. First apply on horizontal areas, then continue onto vertical parapet walls with an 80–100 mm overlap over the horizontal fleece. Ensure that no hollow areas are formed at the coving. Allow the second coat to dry for 8–12 hours.Apply the third coat of undiluted material using a brush or roller in a crisscross direction, with an overall coverage of 1.9 kg/sq.m for the complete system. as per above mentioned parameters and standards (ASTM D 2370, ASTM D 2370, AS-NZ 4548, ASTM E 154) will be require before the execution of the work. of A ponding test shall be conducted after completion of the application.Surface Preparation: The Existing surface must be clean, even, and sound concrete, have a moisture content of less than 5%. Relative humidity of the surface should not be more than 25%.Crack treatment: Cutting and opening cracks to a depth of 10x10 mm V or U Shape by mechanical means. Cleaning all the dirt and loose particles by air pressure and wetting crack to attain SSD condition. filling the crack using Repair Polymer modified cement mortar. Bore Packing: Using multipurpose polymer over pipe and Internal side of concrete followed by filing high strength non shrink grout for a gap of up to 20mm (between pipe and concrete) before treating the surface with Waterproofing layer.A 10-year waterproofing warranty shall be provided subject to the work being carried out by an authorized applicator.( OEM/OEM Authorized)Makes: FOSROC, SIKA, ASIAN PAINT, STP, MYK-arment. |
