| 7 | M & L for bituminous macadam not exceeding 75mm thickness (compacted thickness) using hot mix plant and mechanical paver with 4% binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with power roller 8 to 10 tonnes to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed Note :- (i) Bituminous macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper.(ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined as per IRC 27 : 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of SSR 2020 |
| 8 | M&L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bitumen primer @ 5.0 kg/10 Sqm (paving bitumen grade VG-10) complete all as specified and directed. |
| 9 | M & L for semi dense bituminous concrete 40mm (compacted thickness) using graded crushed stone aggregate premixed with binder (paving grade bitumen VG 30 grade) @ 5.5% by weight of total mix & hydraulic lime filler, rolled the surfaces by using 8 to 10 ton capacity power roller and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed Note :- (i) Semi dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper.(ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshall Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 (Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111: 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of SSR 2020 |
