| 4 | Material and labour for providing and laying Premix Bituminous macadam of consolidated thickness 35 mm to 70 mm, using paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30 @ and binder content of 4% by weight of total mix, Mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher (Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using B.M.) and as per approved mix, rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 504 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes : 1.The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CI. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BM shall be worked out from Thapar Insti. of Engg & Tech Patiala/ PEC Chandigarh/ Command Test Lab / Maharaja Ranjit Singh Tech University Bathinda for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to Garrison Engineer for approval. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ Rs 50/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side.2. The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within in a maximum of 48 hours. If ther is to be any delay, by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately. |
| 5 | Material and labour for providing and laying Premix Bituminous semi dense asphaltic concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder (paving bitumen of grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and mixing the crushed aggregates of grading 2 with VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hyrdostatic paver finisher and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |

| 7 | (iv) The vintage of the T&P (Hot mix plant/road roller i.e. vibratory roller, static roller, hydraulic roller/paver) should not be more than 10 years except the tippers and shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work.(v) The certificate wrt the capacity of the hot mix plant (HMP) shall be 100-120 TPH and the plant shall be electronic operated, batch type and location be intimated and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work.(vi) The distance of the HMP shall not be more than 100 KM from the Mil Stn Patiala, Detail of plant to be submitted to GE for approval before date of commencement of the work.(vii) The calibration certificate for HMP shall be submitted by the contractor for approval of GE before date of commencement of the work which should not be more than 6 months old.(viii) The minimum 2 Road roller each (vibrating and static road roller) are required at site before commencement of the work on the ground and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work.(ix) Aggregates retrieved from dismantling of existing pavement shall not be used in top carpetting layer. |
