| 1 | General Notes:1. The contractor shall follow relevant IS codes/technical specifications for execution of work.2. The contractor shall maintain good workman ship and follow safe working procedures during the work.3. Rates are inclusive of Scaffolding for all items for all heights.4. Shuttering wherever required shall be carried out at no extra cost.5. Leak test including filling of water and empty the tank (OGSEP) after test shall be carried out for the tank as per IS 3370 for requirements of watertightness, corrective action to ensure watertightness of the structure if any shall be done as per directions of EIC at no extra cost.6. Removal of laitance/scales from OGSEP shall be done at no extra cost.7. Contractor shall provide one nos of Construction Distribution board along with incoming power cable of required length (as per availability of nearest power source at site) as per NFC specifications for obtaining the temporary power supply for the works at no extra cost.8. Contractor shall fill the requisition form for providing temporary power supply and details of any equipment to be used at site (dewatering pump, cutting machine, drilling machines, etc. shall be indicated in the proforma annexed to requisition form.9. Contractor shall employ a licensed electrician to carryout electrical connections /terminations, measurement of earth pit resistance, insulation resistance of their installation and intimating the same to the department & also earthing shall be ensured throught existance of power supply.10. Intimation shall be given after completion of work for disconnection of supply and safe isolation of DB with last energy meter reading. |
| 2 | Chipping of old unsound concrete surface to expose good concrete, removal of plaster if any, expose corroded reinforcements beneath unsound concrete to the extant of upto 100 mm in thickness including disposal of obtained debris within 50m lead, complete as directed by EIC. |
| 3 | Injection Grouting using Cementitious grout admixed with SBR - Styrene Bitadiene Styrene Providing and Fixing 18mm/12 mm or any other dia GI/PVC nozzles (the nozzle shall be embedded about half the depth of the member to be grouted) in grid pattern at a spacing not more than 1m c/c along damaged/distressed area and in construction joints by drilling holes using drill machine and to be packed with polymer modified mortar of make Pidilite/Fosroc /SIKA/BASF/ Sunanda/ Krishna or any other approved equivalent make., grouting to be carried out with cement grout by mixing one bag of cement with one pouch of expansive plasticising admixture and 1 kg of SBR latex of make Pidilite (Dr Fixit Pidicrete AM and Dr fixit Pidicrete URP)/Fosroc or approved equivalent, removal of nozzles post grouting and plugging with Renderoc Plug of Fosroc or approved equivalent, complete as directed by EIC. (Record shall be maintained for number of grout holes and cement consumption in each hole) |
| 4 | Injection Grouting using Moisture Insensitive Epoxy GroutFor strengthening the various members of the Concrete Segments, GI/PVC Nozzles shall be made in weak areas or at intervals of 1 metre centre to centre, and the same shall be injection grouted with Moisture Insensitive Epoxy Grout of Pidilite Industries Limited's make- Dr. Fixit Epoxy Injection Grout /equivalent material of Fosroc /SIKA/BASF/Sunanda/ Krishna or any other approved equivalent make. After the grouting is complete the nozzles shall be cut and the area shall be sealed with Renderoc Plug of Fosroc or approved equivalent, complete as directed by EIC.(Records shall be maintained for number of grout holes and material consumption in each grout point.) |
| 5 | Cleaning Re-bars & Steel SurfacesCleaning of reinforcement from rust from the reinforcing bars to give it a total rust free steel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of Pidilite Industries Limited's Dr. Fixit Rust Remover /equivalent material of Fosroc/ SIKA/BASF/Sunanda/ Krishna or any other approved equivalent make with paint brush and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application with wire brush and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry, all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. |
| 6 | Anti-corrosive Primer for Reinforcement.Providing and applying Pidilite Industries Limited's make- Dr. Fixit Zinc Rich Primer /equivalent material of Fosroc /SIKA/BASF/Sunanda/ Krishna or any other approved equivalent make which confirms to BS 4652 1995 Specification for Metallic Zinc Rich Priming paint Type 2 and mixing mechanically until it is homogenous and applying the same as one rich coat on reinforcement complete with all lift etc. complete as directed by EIC. (If corrosion found on rebars) |
| 7 | Providing New RebarsRemoving the existing deteriorated reinforcement and supply and placing of new rebars of suitable diameter including cutting, bending and straightening and placing in position complete in all levels and if necessary, welding the new bars with the existing Rods by over lapping or drilling holes on the sound surface and fixing rebars using suitable epoxy acrylate based anchoring material. with all lead and lift etc. complete (If the rebar is corroded more than 25% of its original size). Additional rebars of suitable diameter shall be provided with the help of shear connectors. The shear connectors/TMT bars are provided in the repair area in a grid pattern of 200mm x 200mm by drilling holes of 12mm diameter to a depth of 150mm. The drilled holes shall be grouted with epoxy acrylate based anchoring material of BASF/ Sika/ Pidilite/ Fosroc/ Sunanda/ Krishna or any other approved equivalent make.Note: Only the weight of TMT bars used shall be measured for payment. |

| 9 | Supplying and applying 2(Two) coats of aliphatic acrylate breathable protective coating for RCC structure viz., DECKGUARD S of make M/s. Fosroc Chemicals India Ltd.,/ Monopol -456 of M/s. Sunanda Chemicals/ M/s. Krishna Conchem Products Pvt., Ltd., or any other approved equivalent along with 1(One) coat of primer viz., DECKGUARD PRIMER/ or M/s. Sunanda Chemicals having component of penetrating Silane Silaxone. Surfaces containing blow holes or similar areas of pitting should first be filled using RENDEROC FC or approved equivalent. The coating should have Dry Film Thickness (DFT) of minimum 150microns. The coating should have the properties viz., (1)Excellent protection against carbon dioxide ,chloride ions, sulphates, oxygen and water. (2)Highly UV resistant to the effects of long term weathering. (3)Allow water vapour to escape from the structure. (4) Highly durable in all climatic conditions. The coating should be applied on the finished concrete surfaces (Both External & Internal) , at all heights above plinth level along with necessary scaffolding , applying with suitable means as per manufacturer's recommendations and specification etc., complete and as specified and directed. NOTE: The thickness of coating of minimum 150microns DFT should be ensured at every point of time during painting |
| 10 | Removing dry or oil bound distemper, white or colour wash/lime punning/ water proofing cement paint/any other type of paint and the like by scrapping, sand papering, buffing using manual/mechanical methods and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. complete as per directions of EIC. |
| 11 | Epoxy Bonding AgentProviding and applying a coat of two-part solvent free epoxy resin based bonding agent Pidilite Industries Limited's make- Dr. Fixit Epoxy Bonding Agent /equivalent material of Fosroc /SIKA/BASF/Sunanda/ Krishna or any other approved equivalent make shall be having Shear Bond strength as per ASTM C : 881 - Concrete failure, on the surface at rate of 2 Sqm/kg inside the cracks. |
| 12 | Internal And External Crack TreatmentTreatment for cracks by chasing open it using electrical cutter machine to form a “V” space groove of approx. 15 mm wide and 15 mm deep. The groove shall be cleaned with compressed air and thereafter sealed with polymer modified mortar of CM 1:4 which shall be admixed with Pidilite Industries Limited's make- Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP/equivalent material of Fosroc /SIKA/BASF/Sunanda/ Krishna or any other approved equivalent make @ 2kg per bag of cement. All complete as per the engineer incharge. |

| 20 | Providing and fixing in position galvanised Anchor Shells/Expansion shells/Wedge anchors of approved make of HILTI/FISCHER or any other approved of best quality of upto 16mm dia for anchoring supporting structural steel columns with necessary MS bolts of required size/length including drilling holes in RCC flooring, aligning bolts to position, proper level, Bolts,Washers Labour, etc., complete as directed. |
| 21 | Micro ConcreteProviding and applying of Pidilite Industries Limited's make- Dr. Fixit Micro Concrete /equivalent material of Fosroc /SIKA/BASF/Sunanda/ Krishna or any other approved equivalent make, the micro concrete shall be mixed with 6 mm and downsized aggregates shall be added maximum 5 to 15% by the weight of dry micro concrete inside the shuttering. The same should be Cured for 14 days using water complete etc. |
| 22 | Providing grouting (including tamping) for foundations, structures, equipments, base plates, anchor holes, etc., with non-shrink, free flow grout of Fosroc Cobextra GP-2 or equivalent mixed with well graded aggregate as per manufacturer's specifications, including shuttering wherever necessary at all depths and heights below and above plinth level complete as specified and directed.Note: Only the weight of grout used shall be measured for payment. Aggregate shall be provided in the grout mix at no extra cost and will not be measured for payment. |
| 23 | Supply and application of Polyethelene Grade (PEG) lining system including removal of existing PPG lining consisting of following:1. Surface Preparation: Removal/peeling of the existing polypropylene glass (PPG) lining from the solar evaporation pond. Mechanical cleaning of concrete surface by cup brush/wire brush and chemical wash to remove all foreign matter, ensuring surface free from oil, grease, loose particles. Preparation of Concrete surface as per CSP-2 standard of International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) suitable for new lining.2. Primer Application: Application of suitable unsaturated resin-based primer over prepared surface.3. Base Lamination: Application of single-layer lamination with 2 mm thk. Fibre reinforced plastic ( FiberGlass 450 GSM ) lining with Vinyl Ester resin for additional strength and protection.4. Sheet Fixing: Bonding of UV stabilized high density polyethylene glass lining (PEG) (Fiber Glass 300 GSM) sheets using Vinyl Ester Resin adhesive along with Poly Ethylene Powder Glass Fiber ( Fiber Glass 300 GSM ) and other additives for ensuring uniform adhesion to FRP, removal of entrapped air in the base Lamination. Sheet Thickness should be minimum 3mm and Bonding Material must be minimum1.5mm. 5. Joint Sealing: Copper wire of dia 0.5mm is to be provided all along the two sheets joints and covered with one inch wide PEG strip. The strip shall be welded to the base PEG sheet by strip-lay fusion and rod welding technique to achieve complete fusion.6. Providing additional joint sealing: To protect the Welding from any mechanical damage. All the joints should be covered with 5MM Thick and 50MM Width Screeding using Vinyl Ester Resin and HDPE / PP Balls to have a bonding with Lining material. 7. Spark Testing: Conducting Dielectric Integrity Test (Spark test) on the entire surface to ensure pinhole-free lining. 8. Surface Cleaning: Final cleaning of lined surface and removal of all waste materials from site.Note: The contractor shall carry out this lining work through a specialised agency as mentioned in NIT who has experience of carrying out similar lining works.
