Removing old paint by scrapping and sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. complete as per IS 14177 : 1994

Fabrication and dismantling and moving of steel platform in the space between the stop log gate and spillway/under sluice gate so as to enable the painting of the gates (the material for the same available at site). The job includes lowering and raising of stop log gates with the help of gantry crane installed

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven storey height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre horizontal and vertical tubes joining with cup and lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffoldings for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.

Epoxy paint (two or more coats) at all locations prepared and applied as per manufacturer’s specifications including appropriate priming coat, preparation of surface, etc complete On Hydraullic gates as per IS 14177 : 1994. The paint has to be applied with the help of with airless spray equipment. Spray guns should be suited to the type of paint being used and should be operated with orifices, nozzles and air pressure suited to the type of paint and its consistency. Each coat should give a minimum dry film thickness of 150 + 5 microns.
