| 64 | Material and labour in replacement Earthing complete with galvanised iron earth plate electrode of size 600mm x 600mm x 6mm buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below ground level ) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level, connected to and including earth continuity GI strip 32mm x 6mm (upto test point from earth plate i.e. 7.5m min) by means of GI bolts/nuts/washersand including protected by 15mm dia GI light grade protection pipe from earth plate to test point, including making of test point. Earth plate shall be surrounded by packed layer of char coal/coke & salt all around bottom and top with alternative layer. 20mm GI mediumt grade pipe for watering (should be 10cm above GL) and including socket, plug, funnel, wire mesh, RCC cover and (including steel for cover) PCC (1:2:4) type B1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) including necessary form work, excavation and earth work in any type of soil , returning filling and disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50m, complete all as specified & shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR 2009 (Part-I) complete all as specified and and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- (i) Earth continuity of GI wire 4 mm including protection pipe up to 7.5 mtrs from earth electrode will be included in unit rate, complete all as specified and directed. (ii) The rate of earth work in soft/loose soil i.e. excavation, returing filling and removal, form work is included in this item and nothing shall be paid extra on this account. (iii) PCC chamber shall be constructed at least 1.5 metre away from the earth electrode and pipe for watering shall be provided in slanting manner. (iv) The earth testing arrangement should be done by the contractor as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. |
| 65 | Taking down old unserviceable service cable/underground (UG) cable of any size, including removal of unserviceable bricks/PCC cable covers, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Notes:(a) Excavation and earthwork shall be measured and paid for separately under relevant items.(b) Where new/old cable is laid along the same alignment/location, excavation and earthwork shall be measured and paid only once. No duplicate measurement shall be admissible in this regard. |
