Note:- (i) The contractor will issue hand gloves to the Safaiwala before starting rodding/ sucking by means of mechanical sucker / bouser mounted tractor / lorry etc. (ii) Cleaning of existing sewage pipe line / manholes by suitable honey sucker followed by mechanical rodding followed by hydraulic jet pressure and disposing effluent, sludge, solid -semi-solid materials etc out side the MoD defence land in closed sewage tanker (iii) The labour employed by the contractor shall have firm name uniform, (iv) The Manhole cover to be re-installed. (v) Sludge shall also be removed in closed container outside MoD defence land and bleaching powder to be spread over waste sludge and covered with a layer of soil to maintain hygenic conditions (vi) Safety measures and Insurance of the Workmen shall be ensured by the contractor.(v) Distance from centre to centre of manholes shall be reckoned for purpose measurement and payment. (vi) All contractors to note also the Schedule \\"A\\" Notes to BOQ/ Schedule \\"A\\" and tender documents before qouting rates. |

The sludge/ waste received during cleaning process to be removed at a distance in a pit of suitable size at a distance not exceeding 100m from the bldg and bleaching powder to be spread over waste and burred under the soil / Earth, Earth work shall be included in the unit rate. Note:- (i) The Sweeper / safaiwala employed by the contractor shall be in possession of agency / firm dress, (ii) The sweeper / safaiwala shall be in possession of PVC / wooden pump of appropriate size with long handle / 5-6 mm dia MS plain rod. (iii) Cleaning blockage of IWCs / EWC, bathroom/kitchen by cleaning the Nahani traps / Gully traps and CI / PVC pipe line upto the 1st manhole, shall be considered as each job whether work is executed as a whole or in parts for a Dwelling Unit, for measurement and payment purpose.
