| 4 | Pavement milling (cold planning, asphalt milling, or profiling) of existing all kinds of bituminous surfaces (Mastic, DBM, BC, SDBC, SMA, PMC etc.) with specially designed equipment up to the specified depth of bituminous layer as per designed level & grade, including disposal of milling material with all lead (minimum 20 km from site) and lift complete as per specification. The surface shall be free of bumps, ruts, and other imperfections including the arrangement of traffic diversion if required. Milling material recovered, shall be loaded directly onto trucks/trolleys from the milling machine & shall be the property of the contractor. The milled road surface shall be swept clean prior to opening to traffic. The milling machine is power-operated, self-propelled, and self-sufficient in power, traction, and stability to remove a thickness of BT surface to a specified depth. The machine should be able to provide a uniform profile and cross slope, and capable of accurately and automatically establishing profile grades along each edge of the machine by referencing from the existing pavement without damaging the bottom CC surface if any. The machine should have an automatic system for controlling grade elevation and cross slope etc. |
