Further, the work includes opening, cleaning, and filling of cracks, joints and damaged portions using approved/required materials, and carrying out necessary repairs to arrest leakages and seepage, ensuring watertightness of the structure. The item also covers loosening of encrusted materials, collection, removal and safe disposal of all debris from site, and preparation of a clean, sound surface ready for further treatment/works. | 17 | Providing and placing filter media comprising graded grit and gravel of particle size ranging from 4 mm to 60 mm, laid in specified layers as per approved design in filter beds, conforming to PHE/CPHEEO Manual and IS 8419 (Part I) : 1977. The gravel shall be hard, clean, durable, and as nearly spherical as possible, free from clay, dust, organic matter, and other impurities. The material shall be properly graded and classified by sieving into four or more size fractions and placed in layers with the coarsest at the bottom and finest at the top (or as per design requirements), ensuring proper support to filter sand and uniform distribution of wash water. The gravel size shall generally range from about 4 mm to 60 mm (or as per underdrain system design), with layer depth typically between 0.15 m to 0.30 m or as specified. The work includes supply from approved sources, transportation, stacking, screening, washing to remove dust and impurities, and careful placing in position to the required thickness without segregation, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 18 | Providing and placing filter media comprising clean, hard, durable, and resistant quartz/quartzite sand of effective size 0.40 to 0.80 mm with a uniform depth of 600 mm in filter beds, conforming to PHE/CPHEEO Manual and IS 8419 (Part I) : 1977. The sand shall be free from clay, fine particles, soft grains, dirt, and organic impurities of every description. The filter sand shall satisfy the following requirements: (a) Effective size 0.45 to 0.80 mm; (b) Uniformity coefficient not more than 1.7 and not less than 1.3; (c) Ignition loss not exceeding 0.7% by weight; (d) Soluble fraction in hydrochloric acid not exceeding 5.0% by weight; (e) Silica content not less than 90%; (f) Secific gravity between 2.55 to 2.65; and (g) Wearing loss not exceeding 3%.The material shall be sourced from approved quarries such as Brakar, Godhra, or Babina. The work includes dismantling, inspection, servicing and reassembly of all mechanical components, including motors, gear assemblies and drive mechanisms. Carrying out complete servicing such as re-greasing of all grease points in motors and gear systems, tightening of nuts, bolts and fasteners, checking alignment and smooth operation of rotating parts. Checking of all bearings and replacement of defective bearings with new ones, checking of gear systems and replacement of worn/damaged gears, as required. Examination and maintenance of drive system including tightening and alignment of ‘V’ belts and replacement of the same, if found unserviceable. |

A signed commissioning and testing report on the original letterhead of the OEM shall also be submitted certifying that wiring, testing, and commissioning have been carried out by the authorized representative. |
| 51 | Supply and laying in replacement of tubes medium grade galvanised plain end with all fittings laid in trenches of size 150 mm bore including all fittings such as bends (any type, radius or angle), tapers any type (straight, bend, increasing, decreasing or double socket etc) TEE pieces single branch, 'Y' Junction, double branch, cross collars, cap and plugs, MS flanges complete bends, TEE pieces, collars, elbow, tail piece etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.Note :- (i) MS flange, hot-dip galvanized (GI) Nominal Bore: 150 mm (6\\"), Flange OD: 280 mm of thickness 16 mm, Bolt circle & holes as per IS 6392 and Bolt Holes: 8 Nos, to be provided at every 6 m length of plain end pipe. Flange will be welded to the GI pipe and 3mm thick gasket to be provided between two flanges and will be fixed with 08 Nos of nuts and bolts (M20 Type) at each jointing. Flanges will be of IS-6392 specifications. The cost of flanges, nuts & bolts, gaskets and connecting of flanges to pipeline by welding will be deemed to be included in the quoted item rate. |

(v) Any special fittings to be fabricated at site as per typical site condition will be measured and paid seprately.(vi) Welding of flanges to be done by trained personnels at site and included in the quoted rate for normal flange joints for nominal length of pipes. However if the welding of pipes (other than normal flanged joint at nominal length) is required the same shall be measured and paid separately.(vii) Execution of work should be carried out without hampering the daily routine water supply. |
