Filling of existing Pressure sand filter (PSF) of dual media filter with Silex 12mm&6mm, Course sand, special grade fine sand/quartz sand, Anthracite/activated carbon, pebbles and Katalogs/MnO2/Birm only after removal of old filter media in the filter unit system and cleaning the unit. Surface cleaning and painting the vessel with epoxy paint two coats over two coat of primer finishing with synthetic enamel paint. Unit to be provided with best quality ISI marked 40NB flanged SS motorised valve for easy backwashing, rinsing & filtering with all necessary high quality filter media with sufficient capacity capable of removing turbidity of water two times as per the water quality test report of 1.8 NTU & 0.54 mg/L which is over the permissible limit as per BIS drinking water quality standard. The life period of the filter media supplied should be of minimum 3 years. All cleaning, filling with filter media, all plumbing works by connecting to existing pumping main with suitable size and specials required to deliver water reservoir to existing pump. Including service charge and transportation charge for filter media replacement (cleaning, safely removing, replacing) etc. complete

Design Supply and installation, Trial run and Commissioning (based on siteconditions and as directed by the Engineer in Charge) of Pressure sand FILTER/IRPof Dual Media filter-Anthracite and special grade fine sand /quartz sand silex andpebbles for Maruthomkara GP Moilothara WSS WITH Suitable Technology optionusing Mild steel PRESSURE Vessel with FRP lining, Butterfly valves with completebase media and shall be complete with face piping ,fittings valves filter media, underbed plate fitted with strainer pressure gauges cocks .manhole hand hole air ventsystem manufactured with good engineering, practice having minimum thickness of5mm with manhole and cover for easy inspection and an opening provision for mediaremoving arrangement at bottom side with dummy arrangement and painting thevessel with epoxy paint two coats over two coat of primer finishing with syntheticenamel paint capable of discharging water at 6000 LPH with a capacity to withstandthe operating head of 120 m with best quality ISI MARKED Butter fly valves foreasy backwashing rinsing and filtering with all necessary high quality filter mediawith sufficient capacity capable of removing Turbidity of water two times as per thewater quality test report of 4 NTU TO THE PERMISSIBLE LIMIT AS PER BISdrinking, water quality standard .All auxiliary including fittings nuts and bolts shallbe made of MS with epoxy paint. The filter may be installed in the pumping main/Distribution main near tank site in order to make the operation and maintenanceeasy. The life period of the filter media supplied should be of minimum 3 years andthe total head loss due to PSF SUPPLIED SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 4M .The PSF SHOULD BE DESIGNED with a capacity to withstand 1.5 times of theabove given parameters of discharge and head. The technical details of the filter unitincluding the complete dimensions and type of filter media used shall be annexed andinclude the Flow diagram, Submitting Water quality test report from KWA aftercommissioning of the Scheme, submitting of Operation and Maintenance manual withguidelines for troubleshooting shall also be provided and including water quality testand Labelling.The GP OFFICE BEARERS shall be given Training for the Operationand MAINTENANCE of the Plant.All civil mechanical and plumbing works by connecting to the existing pumping mainwith suitable size and specials required to deliver water reservoir to the using existingpumpOperation and maintenance manual with guidelines for troubleshooting shall also beprovided after commissioning of the filter.(2 Nos)Housing for filter units The housing arrangements should be as follows*The columns shall be on RCC foundations*Height of roof to be based on plant, and provide sloping roof*Rafters and purlins*Pre coated sheets of 0.5mm thickness to cover from top sheet only*All other sides shall be covered with mesh wire cage (size 1”x1” with gauge 1/8”fitted in angle iron 35x35x5MM duly painted with good quality paint )with a suitableopening having locking arrangement.The floor shall consist of 40mm thick concrete, The finished floor level of thetreatment plant should be as per site condition with minimum of 60 cm higher thanthe natural ground level. The plinth protection shall be 0.15m higher than the Naturallevel ie the floor level of the water treatment plant will be 0.45m above plinthprotection. A 1.0m wide plinth protection sloping to outside with cementconcrete/interlocking pavers mix M135 with a thickness of 50 mm shall be providedall round the shed foundation. Suitable /necessary foundation for pumps and filtersshall be provided.
