| 1 | Conducting soil investigation test at site as per relevant specification of IS-2131, IS-6403, IS-1498 & IS-2720 and submit the report as per following including shifting of equipment from one place to another place at any distance:- (A) Drilling of 150 mm diameter bore hole in all types of soils as per depth indicated below or refusal strata whichever is earlier as per instruction of the Eng-in-charge. Refusal defined as and when 'N' value is 100 or more for 30 cm or part penetration. (a) Conducting standard penetration test (SPT) in the bore holes at 1.00 m intervals in depth or every change of strata whichever is earlier as per IS: 2131-1981or Conducting dynamic cone penetration test (DCPT) in the bore holes at 1.00 m intervals in depth or every change of strata whichever is earlier as per IS: 10042-1981 (Applicable for gravel, boulder deposit type of soil) |
| 2 | ((i) Depth of bore hole = 15m(ii) No of bore hole= 10 Nos (05 No for Each Blast Pane) .(b) Collecting disturbed and undisturbed soil sample from the location of conducting SPT/DCPT at an interval of 1.00 m depth or at change of strata whichever occurs earlier.(c) Conducting following lab test on disturbed soil samples as considered necessary according to relevant specification IS-2720 and detailed result to be given in tabular form:-(i) Sieve analysis & Grain size distribution by Sieve analysis & hydrometer test(ii) Atterberg's limit as per IS:2720 Part-5-1985(iii) Natural moisture content(iv) Particle size analysis test(v) Bulk density/dry density(d) Conducting following lab test on Un disturbed soil samples as considered necessary according to relevant specification IS-2720 and detailed result to be given in tabular form:-(i) Natural moisture content(ii) Bulk density(iii) Specific gravity |
| 3 | (iv) Free swell index and swelling properties of soil(v) Organic matter in soil if any(vi) Consolidation test (compressed index value)(vii) Triaxial compression test and determination of shear parameters (C&Ø test) as per relvant IS(viii) Harmful salt (complete investigation as already ref)(e) Analysis of liquefaction potential for earthquake as per zone-III of IS: 1893-2016 (part-1).(f) Ground Water Table & HFL:(i) Maximum and minimum levels of ground water in the area with source of information. (ii) Ground water table observed during the investigation. (iii) Recording the ground water table if observed upto exploration depth, as per IS: 6395-1973.(g) The SBC of the soil is required to be given as per table given at Sch A Notes. givin in NIT, calculation of bearing capacity will be governed generally as per IS:8009 Part-1-1976, IS:2720 Part-2-1980, IS:6403-1980, IS:1904-1986 & IS:1080-1985 and other relevant IS codes and detailed calculations duly showing the various soil parameters/indices shall be given in the soil report. |
| 4 | (B) Preparation of Soil investigation Report :(i) A detailed site plan showing the approx location of each bore duly numbered as per log of borehole should be enclosed with every site's soil investigation report. Location of foundation of adjacent structure, espacially those that might be impacted by the proposed construction should be indicated with details in site plan.(ii) Every page of the Soil Investigation Report should have the Name of the Job for which Soil Investigation is being carried out. In case of multiple sites of a single Job are being investigated name of each site shall be put on each page of report pertaining to the site alongwith the name of the Job. (iii) All pages of the Soil Investigation Report shall be serially numbered, stamped and signed by the Agency carrying out the soil investigation. Report should be scrutinized by GE for correctness & endorsed. (iv) Detailed description of field investigation, soil classification and general nature of soil strata, water table, interpretation of test results, grain size distribution curves, compressive index curves, site plan etc, stress-strain modulus (by stress-strain curves from triaxial tests), foundation analysis & recommendations with supporting calculations regarding foundation system, depth of foundation.(iv) Six copies of ink signed test reports should be submitted with details description of field investigation carried out, soil classification and general nature of soil strata, water table, interpretation of test results, grain size distribution curves, compressive index curve, site plan etc listed in preceding paragraphs. |
| 5 | (v) Photographic record of geo-explorations as well as testing shall also form part of the report.(vi) Plotting of a compiled sub-surface profile along the depth in both plan directions. (vii) Estimation of safe side slopes for excavation(viii) Suitability of excavated material as back fill(ix) To check for liquefaction potential.(x) Soil investigation for ordinary rock or hard rock type soil shall be done as specified in IS-12070-1987 Table-I(xi) Any other pertinent information relating to foundation design considered necessary alongwith recommendation regarding type of foundation to be adopted and also recommendation on stability of soil with requirement of soil stabilization if any.(xii) The GE shall intimate the approximate type of construction, utilization and dimensions of proposed bldgs to the consultant, who based on geotechnical investigation, should recommend type of foundation (viz isolated/combined footing, raft, pile etc)(xiii) In case of underground building basement construction, or if requirement of temporary/permanent deep excavation support measures during construction of building are envisaged necessary excavation support measures to be given by the consultant based on geotechnical investigations.(xiv) Soil investigation report should be signed by M. Tech (Geotech).Transportation of equipment/mobilization/Dematerialization of equipment, etc forsoil investigation |
| 6 | Moblization of necessary equipment & manpower at site of work to carry out plate load test for determination of 'K' value (Moduless of subgrade reaction) of soil in the field in accordance to IS 9214-1979, complete in all respect,as specified & directed with & including following operations:- (a) Digging out pit of desired size & depth.(b) Placing & arranging the load plateform,loading & unloading plateform by sand bags or any other approved weights,as per requirement & recording the settelment data with 03 nos of dial gauge in horizental plain placed at 120 degree, using hydraulic jack with proving ring & dial gauze of least count 0.002 mm & submission of report in sixtuplicate determing modulus of subgrade reaction 'K' value. |
| 7 | Topographical Survey(a) Levelling of original level at every 3Mx3M grid.Submission of 6 folder of calculation details for qty of cutting avg 15 cm depth in respect of top of the existing taxi trck including profile of L-section & X-section.Note 1: Soil investigation for ordinary rock or hard rock type soil shall be done as specified in IS: 12070-1987 Preparation of Soil investigation Report :(i) A detailed site plan showing the approx location of each bore duly numbered as per log of borehole should be enclosed with every site's soil investigation report.
