| 19 | (a) Surface Preparation:Cleaning of concrete surface to remove all loose gravel, dirt, oil, grease and foreign matter completely by jet of dry air and clean the surface mechanically or by grinding to make it absolutely smooth before application. Ensure that new concrete must be 28 days old. The surface moisture content should be within 5%. Surface defects exposed during preparation such as shrinkage cracks, blow holes, minor honey combs, and minor damages, etc. shall be treated properly by using Repair Mortar.(b) Floor Hardener Application with Epoxy bonding agent with power floated or vacuum dewatered equipmentAfter Cleaning the substrate, apply ShaliFloor LH with a low-pressure sprayer or scrubber. Allow 20 minutes to keep the floor wet after application. Any portion begins to dry should bere-mist with material. Interval between two coats is 24hrs. Allow the material to dry. Broom the surface to remove pudding. After the material dries clean up the excess material with scrubber. Normally a two or three coat application is recommended for complete treatment; however, very dense, well trowelled surfaces such as granolithic toppings, power floated or vacuum dewatered concrete will generally require only a single coat. Allow foot traffic after one hour whereas allow vehicle after 24 hours. Do not allow water to contact with the coated floor for 24hrs. for proper curing. Humidity will delay curing of coating. For the successful application of the product require sahigh degree of skill, special tools and equipment and to be applied by authorized STP applicator. |
