All jobs related to tank bottom replacement to be completed in all respect for restoring the tank in original condition and commissi oning as per the drawing, specifications, relevant latest codes (API-650 / 653; IS-803) and to the satisfaction of Inspection / Oper ation and Engineer-in-charge. Note: Radiography test shall be paid as separate item. Fabrication / erection / laying of bottom sketch plates5/ 6 / 8 mm thick: Transport of MS Plates from store to worksite, fabrication, erection, overlaying, edge preparation / fixing of backing strip / weldi ng of bottom sketch plates keeping painted surface towards bituminous pad. All weld joints conforming to NDT, such as DP test, pneum atic test, vacuum test, joints radiography etc. as per code API-650 / 653; IS-803. Heating to be carried out in a furnace or by using an electric resistance or induction heating equipment ensuring uniform temp erature attainment at all points of the portion being heat-treated. The portion under heat treatment shall be wrapped suitably under insulation to avoid any harmful temperature gradient. The temperature thus attained in the portion under heat treatment shall be recorded by means of thermocouples, pyrometer and an auto matic temperature recorder suitably calibrated should be employed. The calibration chart of each recorder along with hardness test r esults shall be submitted to the Engineer-in-Charge for approval. The details of heat treatment such as heating rate, soaking temperature, pause period and cooling rate etc. to be carried out as per relevant standards / code as instructed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 78 | Submission of Tank M&I Reports and Drawings:- Submission of tank M&I reports indicating as-built dimensional drawings, bottom/ roof/ shell plate repairs (i.e. position patch repair & plate's replacement), their dimensions, maintenance carried out in the tank, deta iled earth pit drawings along with tank M&I reports of repair and maintenance as per the directions of EIC/ Site Engineer.
