| 4 | M&L for Premix bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with VG-30 grade paving bitumen (4% by weight of total mix) to meet the desired requirement as mentioned in Particular Specification, mixing bituminous concrete in computerized hot mixing plant, laying and spreading uniformly by means of mechanical paver and rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber by 8 to 12 tonne vibratory road roller complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) Bituminous macadam shall be laid using self-propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper.(ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined as per IRC 27:2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced @ Rs. 46.49 per Kg. |

The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from srtreaks and holes etc complete all as specified and directed. |
| 8 | M&L for Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.50% binder (paving bitumen VG-30) by weight of total mix, mixed in computerized hot mix plant, laid, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with the help of mechanical paver and power roller 8 to 12 ton capacity complete all as specified and directed. Note: (1) Semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be laid using self-propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper.(ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshal Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Manual MS-2 (Sixth edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111:2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced @ Rs. 75.30 per Kg. |
