| 4 | (ii) The specification of this item for analytic purpose is kept with bitumen content @ 4.50% weight of mix variation as compared with job mix formula shall be paid / deducted accordingly. The limits of variation shall be worked out with the approved formula. |

| 6 | i.) Apart from the confirmity with the grading and quantity requirement of invidual ingredients exhibited above the mix aggregate i.e.coarse and fine aggregate for dense bituminous concrete shall meet all requirements set forth clause 505 of MORT & H specifications. |
| 7 | ii) The final grading for the aggregates required for dense bituminous macadam confirming to table 500.10 of MORT & H specifications shall be determined after getting the dense bituminous macadam designed from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala after obtaining 60 % of material. The design mix so finally approved shall be termed as the approved mix. The aggregates shall be hydrophobic and of low porosity. The aggregates shall satisfy the physical requirement set fourth in table 500-6 (addendum to latest revision). |
| 8 | iii) The approved mix shall exhibit the following details, source and location of all material: - |
| 9 | iii (a) Binder expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. |
| 10 | iii (b) Course expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. |
| 11 | iii (c) Crushed bajri expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. |
| 12 | iii (d) Final aggregate expressed as percentage by weight of total mix |
| 13 | iii (e) A single definite percentage passing each sieve for mixed aggregates. |
| 14 | iii (f) Density of dense bituminous macadam after compaction will be not less than 2.30 gm/CC. |

| 29 | Supplying and fixing of single mould twin shank reflective road studs made out of poly carbonate/ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens or Glass Beeds capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face with retro reflectance and chromaticity values shall be as given in the detailed specifications and the product shall conform to ASTM D4280. The raised pavement marker shall also meet all the testing conditions of ASTM D4280 and fixed to the road surface using the adhesive. Two cylindrical Polymer Shanks of not less than 20 mm diameter and not less than 30 mm length shall be molded in the RPM body. The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The marker shall withstand flexural strength of 909 kg force in accordance with ASTM D4280. Marker lenses shall be moulded of Polycarbonate or methy methecrylate conforming to ASTM D788. The supplier shall provide a 2 years warranty for satisfactory field performance as per clause 804.7.3 of MORT&H 5th revision specifications complete in all respects. |
