The ball shall have an aluminum or ductile iron core, fully vulcanized with NBR, and designed to rotate for self-cleaning. The seat shall be integral or made of cast bronze/gunmetal for corrosion resistance and tight sealing.The valve shall include an oversized SS 316 basket-type strainer with a minimum 4 times the pipe area (4:1 ratio) to reduce suction velocity and prevent debris entry. All fasteners shall be SS 316. The valve shall have internal and external Fusion Bonded Epoxy coating of a minimum of 250 microns.The valve shall comply with EN 12050-4 or equivalent standards. Flanges shall be as per IS 1538 / PN 16. The valve shall be hydraulically tested for body strength and seat leakage at 1.5 times rated pressure. All accessories, including PN 16 flanges, 3 mm EPDM full-face gaskets, and SS 316 fasteners, shall be provided.The scope of work includes the supply and installation of the new foot valve as part of the replacement of the complete suction line of the pump. The scope of work includes the supply and installation of new suction piping as part of the replacement of the complete suction line of the pump and a section of the discharge line of the diesel pump. It shall also include the removal of the existing suction lines using a chain block or any other suitable method as deemed appropriate. The new suction line shall be installed in place of the existing system. The rate shall include all these works. |
