The register shall be duly verified and signed by the Engineer-in-Charge or his authorized representative at regular intervals.(3)In case of failure to complete the work within the prescribed target date, a penalty of ₹1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) per flat per day of delay shall be imposedand recovered from the contractor’s bills, until the completion of the work to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.(4)The decision of the Engineer-in-Charge regarding delay and penalty shall be final and binding on the contractor.
