| 1 | Earth work in excavation for foundations of bridge structures including abutments, Piers, wing/return walls in all kinds of soil including soft rock in accordance with lines, levels,grades and cross-sections as shown in drawings and as per technical specifications including setting out providing and maintaining necessary shoring strutting and bracing dewatering where required removal and disposal of roots vegetation,stumps and other deleterious matter dressing of sides and bottom to correct profile and backfilling with approved material in layers including watering ramming and compaction to required density complete in all respects as per clause 304,305 .All earth work in cutting exccavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines grades side slopes width,camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner treaming filling of uneveveness blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimension or as directed by the Engineer-in- Charge.If the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to spring seepage rain and other causes it sall be remove by suitable diversion bailing out or pumping as directed and the area of the the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry. The land for dumping sites shall be arranges by the contractors himself and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of excavation shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.
