| 8 | M&L for applying siloxane based water repellent impregnation on concrete/brick/stone/masonry surfaces (Make: Sikagard-700 S or equivalent), complete all as specified and directed, including the following:-(a) Preparation of surfaces by cleaning and removing dust, dirt, oil, grease, efflorescence, mould etc, using brush/roller/spray with detergent, degreaser, light blast cleaning, steam cleaning as required, including removal of any existing incompatible coating/paint which may block absorption.(b) Filling/repairing cracks wider than 200 microns using approved crack filler as per manufacturer’s instructions.(c) Ensuring surface is dry (maximum moisture content 5–6%) with no visible damp patches before application. Applying the first coat by low-pressure spray, roller or brush in vertical direction.(d) Applying second coat before the first coat is fully dried, strictly as per manufacturer’s instructions.Coverage rate: 0.30 to 0.50 Kg/Sqm per coat (corresponding to 0.375 to 0.625 L/Sqm per coat).Notes:(i) The work shall be carried out strictly under manufacturer’s directions and/or by an authorised applicator.(ii) Contractor shall produce manufacturer’s certificate after satisfactory completion of work. |
| 9 | M&L for Washed stone grit plaster on exterior walls in two layers, under layer 12mm cement plaster 1:4 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand ) furrowing the under layer with scratching tool, applying cement slurry on the under layer @ 3 Kg of cement per square metre, top layer 15mm cement plaster 1:1/2:2 (1 cement: 1/2 coarse sand : 2 stone chipping 10mm nominal size) in panels with groove all around as per approved pattern including scrubbing and washing, the top layer with brushes and water to expose the stone chippings .complete all as specified (Payment for providing grooves shall be made separately). complete as specified and directed. |
| 10 | M&L for Forming groove of uniform size 15mm wide and 15mm deep in the top layer of washed stone grit plaster as per approved pattern using wooden battens, nailed to the under layer including removal of wooden battens, repair to the edges of panels and finishing the groove complete as per specifications and direction of the Engineer-in-charge complete as specified and directed.
