The work includes thorough surface preparation such as cleaning by water washing or sandpapering, carrying out patch repairs with approved exterior putty, filling cracks in walls or ceilings with approved crack filler, and patch plastering with cement mortar (1:3) wherever required, at all heights and levels. The rate shall be inclusive of the cost and conveyance of all materials, labour charges, hire charges for tools and plants, scaffolding, and all other incidental expenses necessary for the satisfactory completion of the work in accordance with standard specifications.

Painting of existing steel structural works of the already painted steel structural platform and handrails with two coats of enamel paint over one coat of marine primer of approved quality, after thorough surface preparation, at all heights and levels. The scope of work includes cleaning and preparing the surface, removing loose paint, rust, and scale, and ensuring proper adhesion of the paint system. The rate shall be inclusive of the cost and conveyance of all materials, labour charges, loading and unloading charges, hire charges for tools and plants, providing necessary scaffolding, and protecting nearby machinery by covering with tarpaulin during execution of the work. The work shall be carried out complete in all respects in accordance with standard specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Paint make: Berger Paints / Asian Paints / Nerolac Paints / ICI Dulux or equivalent approved make.) All materials, tools, paints, tarpaulin, etc., required for the above work shall be supplied by the contractor.
