Carrier /vehicle chassis: - A reputed make of chassis of OEM (original equipment manufacturer) having its service Centre in Kargil including ease of availability of spares in local markets which meets the following specification and of appropriate capacity suitable for carrying the water tanker of capacity 9Kl.A. Complete fabrication of LP/truck Cabin by way of using Salwood/plank, sun mica, angle iron, chequered plate, hard ware items, lightings, battery box, Cabin having minimum two no’s foam padded adjustable seats with seat belts.it should have all standard accessories like two doors, operable side windows, rear view door mirrors, laminated wind screen, multi speed wind shield wipers, fuel gauges, multiple warning lamps and buzzer for low oil pressure, cabin light, Dash light/indicators, Fog/Head light/Tail light, side indicator, stereo, mating, seat cover etc. locking arrangement should be provided from inside and outside. The cabin shall be painted with one coat of wooden/steel primer and two coats of good quality paint internally and externally. The vehicle shall be painted in department blue colour and inside in any approved grey sheet or any suitable sheet.a. Water tank shall be designed and fabricated out of 3.5mm thick M.S Sheet conforming to IS1730 and IS 2062 from M/s SAIL/JINDAL/TISCO elliptical in shape of suitable dimension compatible with cabin and chassis to be supplied by the bidder over which the tank is to be mounted.b. The tank shall have three compartments of equal capacity. Each compartment of equal capacity. Each compartment will be inter connected at bottom. Each compartment shall be provided with air vent pipe of size 50 mm and 450 mm size manhole with hinged cover lid and locking arrangements. Internal partitions shall be made of 06 mm thick M.S sheet reinforced by 35×35×5 mm thick angles. The tank shall have dished faces at both the ends. Ladders made of 16 SWG conduit pipe will be provided to have access to the manhole and to get into the tank. Wide cat walk ladder will be provided and fixed with all along the length of the water tank and railing all over the length of water tank. Overflow Water protection by way of electric welding MS flat size 6” ×full length of water tank shall be fixed at the side of water tank. Water level indicator of vertical conduit type with vertical slit opening containing a float indicator to be provided in the tank. Two out lets in the tank as detailed below to be provided.I) One number 75 mm size outlet fitted with gunmetal ball valve for connecting with the pump suction.II) Two numbers of 65 mm size out let tank at rear side of water tank shall be fitted with Gum metal Bal valve for opening and closing the supply. The gap between the back of the cabin and front dish end of the water tank should be sufficient for a technician to carry out maintenance of chassis and front side of tank like welding of leaked joints etc. but should not be more than 500mm.c) Water tanker will be painted as under.i. carrier vehicle: shall be painted departmental blue (as desired by the department). ii. water tanka, inner coating: the tank should be coated with epoxy suitable for potable water tankers meeting latest legislative, Environment requirements and approved for contact with drinking water according to Bs:6920.b, outer surface: two coats over one coat of metallic primer of reputed make in departmental blue shade including lettering as desired by the concern .C, First Aid Box: one first aid box will be provided with the vehicle.B. Registration of the vehicle: - the vehicle shall have to be got registered by the firm from the ARTO Kargil Ladakh including insurance fee to be deposited by the contractor.C. Tool Box: - supplier will provide & fixing of lockable toolbox at the vehicle to accommodate all tool kit, safety in it and other similar items tools like (jack/jack rod, ring spanner set. plair, screw driver etc.). 01 number tyre of the same size should be with the vehicle as StepneyD. Total body length includes water tank and chassis must not be exceed 5486 mm/18 feet E.
