| 1 | Maintenance of lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees in garden area by watering at regular intervals, cutting and trimming the unwanted growth of grasses as required including running lawn mover, removing weeds, collecting the cut grass, cleaning and sweeping of lawn area, fallen leaves of trees and disposing the same at dumping yards as shown by the department, watering the trees both inside & outside the garden area complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in- charge.Note:1) The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of cut grass, leaves etc., to the dumping yard.2) The rate shall also includes cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening and measures to be taken to prevent the entry of goats, cattle's etc.,3) The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m area maintained per month.4) Contractor has to make his own arrangements for lawn movers. If departmental lawn mover is available it will be provided by department on chargeable basis.5) If lawn mover is not used, then recovery at the rate of 70 paise/Sq.m per month will be charged as penalty from each RA Bill.6) For every 1800 Sq.m. of lawn area, contractor should engage minimum 1 Labour for regular maintenance.7) The area to be maintained per month is 14400 Sq.m. As such, total area to be maintained under this contract is 12 Months x 14400 Sq.m = 172800.00 Sq.m. |
| 2 | Collection, Supplying and stacking of good quality Red earth without stones, gravel, etc., and stacking for premeasurements at places as shown by Engineer for taking premeasurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100 metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. |

| 4 | Reinstating of damaged lawn caused by excavation for service lines, using the turfing method including excavation, surface leveling, area cleaning, collection, supply, and planting of good-quality Mexican grass. It also includes the conveyance, cost of Mexican grass, and all associated materials etc., complete in all respects as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 5 | Supplying and planting of following Ornamental plants of good quality & healthy appearance with blooming nature with 1 - 5 ft height etc., including earth work excavation, spreading & filling of red earth, farm yard manure to an average thickness of 50mm and transporting the plants to site, making pits, initial watering, weeding etc., all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.Note: Cost of Red earth and manure will be paid for separately under relevant items. |

| 12 | The schedule of quantities is to be read for the purpose of pricing in conjunction with the special conditions, general rules for the guidance of contractors, conditions of contract, specifications, drawings, schedule of supply of materials and the appendices. |
| 13 | The prices inserted in the schedule of quantities shall be inclusive of value of the work described including all cost and expenses, which may be required in and for the construction of the work described together with the general risks, liabilities and obligations not forth or implied in the documents on which the tender is to be based. |
| 14 | The quantities stated are to be considered approximate only and the unit prices entered in the schedule of quantities and prices shall apply only to the actual quantities measured in the completed work in accordance with the specifications. |
| 15 | All the materials other than those shown in schedule of supply of materials in section VII are to be arranged by the contractor and his rates should account for the same. |
| 16 | Rates quoted for all items in this tender shall include cost of all materials including cement and steel. Department will not supply any materials other than materials stipulated in Section - VII of the tender and as such the rates quoted must be all inclusive. |
