| 30 | Dismantling of old unserviceable valve pits and constructing of brick masonary pits of internal dimensions 1000mm x 1000mm 1200mm (bottom PCC floor of the pit shall be 30cms below the bottom surface of sluice valve flange to provide sufficient working space), bottom floor of the pit be constructed in PCC (1:3:6), 15cms thick (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) inner and exposed surfaces and bottom floor of the pit shall be plastered in CM (1:4) 15mm thick. The sluice valve and other fittings shall be housed in centre of the pit, the vertices of the pit should in right angle and chamfered. The top cover of the pit will be made out of MS sheet 2mm thick with angle iron frame made out of MS angle 50mm x50 mmx 6 mm with galvanised steel hindges two Nos and locking arrangements duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamelled paint over one coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed. |

(ii) Incase the ferrule connection not working satisfactorily the whole job shall be redone again by the contractor without any extra cost to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge).
