| 71 | (i) New Mechanical Fire dampers of model CFD-FL approved 90 Minutes Fire Rating as per UL-555-1995 by CBRI in existing main supply air duct layout drawing including control wiring. The dampers shall be made of heavy gauge galvanized steel having multi blade construction. The blades shall be fitted with chrome plated shaft and self-lubricated phosphorous bronze bushes. The dampers shall also be provided with jam seal (compression type) on sides to prevent spread of smoke and fire. The blades of the dampers are held in the ‘open’ position by a high tensile spring and a fusible link. The fusible link should be UL stamped and operates at 74oC, causing the damper to close immediately on break fire to prevent the spread of fire through the ducts. Control wing from fire damper to AHU control panel to switch off AHU motors, heaters and humidifier when the fire damper is closed in the event of fire. |
