| 6 | Providing and laying APP (Atactic Polypropylene Polymer) modified prefabricated five layer, 3 mm thick water proofing membrane, black finished reinforced with glass fibre matt consisting of a coat of bitumen primer for bitumen membrane @ 0.40 litre/sqm by the same membrane manufactured of density at 25°C, 0.87 - 0.89 kg/litre and viscocity 70 - 160 cps. Over the primer coat the layer of membrane shall be laid using butane torch and sealing all joints etc., and preparing the surface complete. The vital physical and chemical parameters of the membrane shall be as under : Joint strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 23°C as 350/300 N/5 cm. Tear strength in longitudinal and transverse direction as 60/80N. Softening point of membrane not less than 150°C. Cold flexibility shall be upto -2°C when tested in accordance with ASTM, D - 5147. The laying of membrane shall be got done through the authorised applicator of the manufacturer of membrane : 3mm thick |

| 8 | Providing and fixing machine moulded aluminium covering of approved pattern & design, made out of machine cut aluminium sheet and machine holed for receiving dash fastener, over expansion joints on vertical surfaces/ceiling floors, the fixing on plate in one row on one side of joint only shall be done with stainless steel dash fasteners of 8 mm dia and 75 mm long bolt including providing aluminium washers 2 mm thick & 15 mm dia , at a staggered pitch of 200 mm centre to centre including drilling holes in the receiving surface and providing expandable plastic sleeves in holes etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge Anodised aluminium 2.5 mm thick (anodised sheet transparent or dyed to required shade according to IS: 1868, Minimum anodic coating of grade AC 15) |

| 11 | Removal of GI covering and existing sealant / fillers in the expansion joint, cleaning free of debris & contamination. Provide and apply one part low modulus gun grade high performance elastomeric Polyurethane sealant Nitoseal PU50 to the joints over the polyethylene backer rods as bond breaker. The cured sealant shall comply to ISO11600:2002 Type F 25LM, ASTM C920-95 Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, US Fed Spec TT-S-00230a Type II, Grade NS, Class25 have a properties of MAF 50%,UV Resistance and service temperature range -40°C to 70° C. Over the cured sealant provide and apply TPO based waterproofing membrane Expoband One with specifically formulated single-ply of width 150mm, thickness 1mm membrane fixed at both ends using epoxy bonding adhesive and laid loosely at middle. Waterproofing tape to be anchored using epoxy adhesive Nitobond PC40 for a width of 50mm on either side of the joint and leaving 50mm in the centre for allowing necessary movements. The waterproofing tape shall have a density of 1.7, Tensile Strength- 7.0 N/sqmm, Elongation at break- 400%.as per the direction of engineer incharge. |
