| 30 | M&L for providing roof treatment with APP modified water proofing membrane with the following specifications complete. all as specified and as directed.(a) Removing existing roof/ chajjas treatment of any type like plastic felt/ HP tiles of any description including taking down existing plastering/ concrete of any thickness and cleaning the top surface of RCC slab with wire brush including removal of debris outside the MOD premises(b) Brushing with neat cement slurry @ 3Kg/Sqm on cleaned RCC slab surface and rendering 10 mm thick in cement mortar 1:3 mixed with water proofing compound and finishing surface even and smooth without using extra cement.Note:- Water proofing compound shall be measured and paid separately(c)Preparation of plastered surfaces by removing dust, dirt and applying oil bound bituminuous primer at the rate of 0.3 litre per Sqm and providing 4 mm thick APP modified water proofing membrane weight not less than 4.5kg/ sqm reinforced with non oven polyester mat of weight not less than 160gms per Sqm including minimum 10cm side/ over lap and applying a coat of hot blown bitumen grade 85/25 over membrane at the rate of1.2kg per Sqm and on drying applying a coat of solar reflective bituminuous aluminium paint at the rate of 0.1kg/sqm.Note:- APP modified water proofing membrane shall be of any one of the approved makes as specified in particular specification and shall confirm to specifications given in IS 16540-2017/ IS 16532-2017. Contractor shall produce necessary test certificate of the manufacturer to the Engineer-in-charge before incorporation in the work. Necessary independent tests shall also be carried out by the contractor without any extra cost to the department as per relevant IS specifications and membranes with satisfactory test results shall only be incorporated in the work. |
