HOT INSULATION WITH ALUMINIUM SHEETS: Supply & application of hot insulation on Heat exchangers, Tanks, Towers, Piping etc. Cleaning the surfaces of the item (i.e. heat exchangers, tanks, piping to be taken up for insulation, Wherever required, the existing damaged insulation to be removed before cleaning), Providing and application of two coat of Red Oxide Zinc Chrome primer paint or heat resistant paint on CS and Aluminum foil of 0.05 mm on SS. Providing and fixing of MS Flat (18 mm width x 3mm thickness) as spacer rings / supporting rings lugs at 900 mm equal distance. Chlorine content should not Exceed 35 PPM. Supply and application of tested hot insulation mattresses of Lightly Resin Bonded Rock Wool mattresses with additional 3/4\\" x 22 SWG soft GI Hexagonal wire netting (other than OEM supply). Density of LRB mattress shall be 81-120 Kg/M3 as per group 3 of IS 8183 and thickness as mentioned below as per requirement. Providing and fixing of GI stitching & binding wire, rivets nuts and bolts for supporting, asbestos mill board small pieces having 2 to 3 mm thickness for use between lugs and support rings. Providing and fixing of Aluminum sheets (over wool mattress) in thickness of 20 SWG (0.91 mm) and 22 SWG(0.71) by sealing the joint with Tar Felt sheet 3 mm thick on LRB insulation with screws and water proof sealing compound from outside. Application of hot insulation as per above details. Wherever required, temporary scaffoldings/Winch or platforms are to be made by successful bidder. The work shall require LRB mattresses in following thickness:-

Supply and application of cold insulation (Thermocol) on piping, pipe fitting and equipments in HWPK site. Cleaning of surfaces pipes, equipments which are to be taken for insulation. Supply and application of one coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer paint followed by two coat of cold setting bitumen compound providing and fixing of Thermocol and sealing of joints by vapour sealing bitumen compound. Application of ¾”x22SWG MS wire meshes over a Thermocol than cement layer of 12 mm thickness. Thermocol density shall not less than 20kg/m3.Whenever required temporary scaffolding shall be made by successful bidder. The work shall require Thermocol in following thickness.

Preparation of pocket,fabrication of box and fixing of box into pocket in Exchange unit Towers:-The job includes cutting of Aluminium sheet and fabrication of box as per drawing ,preparation of pockets including removal of insulation of required size in XU Towers,filling of LRB insulation into fabricated box ,fixing of fabricated box into pockets and sealing of edges with water proof sealing compound.The supply of Aluminium sheet and insulation is in the scope of bidder.Wherever required temporary scaffolding and platforms to be provided by the bidder.

Removal and restoration of existing hot mineral wool insulation from various equipment and piping in thickness ranging from 25 mm to 100 mm .Wherever required temporary scaffolding and platforms to be provided by the bidder.

Removal of existing of LRB mineral wool /PUF/Thermocol from various equipment and piping in thickness ranging from 25mm to 100mm.the removal LRB mineral wool, PUF, Thermocol ,cement plaster and Al sheet shall be separate out. The mineral wool/PUF/Thermocol and cement plaster shall be disposed at designated place as per the instruction of EIC and the Al sheets shall be deposited to the central store.
