Repair and reconditioning of Turbine guide bearing (TGB) including white metal (Babbitting), crack rectification, machining, assembly and testing for 4 MW vertical hydro generator (1996 make) Jyoti Make. Dismantling of TGB assemly, bearing housing, and oil poping Removal of damaged bearing shells cleaning of components using approved solvents, Visual Inspection of bearing shell Dye Penetrant Test (DPT) for crack detection Dimensional inspection (ID, OD, ovality, taper), Heating and removal of damaged white metal lining surface preparation of base shell, Welding/brazing of cracks (if repairable) Stress relieving and preparation for re-metalling in case of severe damage, recommendation for new shell, Re-metalling using high-grade tin-based white metal proper bonding and casting (centrifugal or ravity method), Finish boring of bearing to required dimensions Scraping and blue matching with shaft ensuring correct oil clearance as per OEM standards,Reinstallation of bearing alignment with shaft and housing verification of clearances and runout, Flushing of lubrication system cleaning/replacement of oil filters, Non-load and load trial Monitoring of temperaure, vibration and oil parameters.
