| 20 | Deduction for dismantled structural steel obtained from dismantling/demolition, the contractor shall dispose of the dismantled steel at his own cost, including loading, unloading and carriage for all leads, complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The weight of dismantled steel shall be recorded on an automatic weighing machine and the receipt issued by the authorized weighbridge agency/operator shall be final. Payment / deduction shall be made accordingly. Disposal or transportation of the material shall be allowed only in the presence of JE/AE. The rate includes a factor of 0.6 of the market value of scrap steel to account for rusting and other wastage. The contractor must visit the site and satisfy himself about the quality, condition, of the material before quoting the rate. |
