| 4 | Waterproofing Chemical Treatment on Walls — Application of approved high-performance interior waterproofing solution such as Asian Paints SmartCare Hydroloc Xtreme, Dr. Fixit Sureseal, Berger Dampstop or equivalent on all internal wall surfaces (including repaired patches) prone to or showing signs of seepage/dampness/efflorescence as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Treatment on both affected and preventive basis. Surface preparation: clean, sound, free from dust, oil, grease, and loose particles; dampen the surface before application. Minimum two coats with proper overlapping at joints and corners. The treatment shall render the wall surface waterproof, resist efflorescence and provide a suitable base for painting. For areas affected by efflorescence where plaster is loose or hollow, the loose plaster shall be completely removed, the surface cleaned of all salt deposits using suitable mechanical and chemical methods, and fresh cement mortar plaster applied. Thereafter, approved waterproofing solution shall be applied in minimum two coats. |
