| 2 | Survey of designated area and survey drawings of societies / colonies/ localities shall be provided by the contractor. However the MDPE pipe is to be laid on best probable route after discussion with EIC. Receiving, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of owner supplied MDPE Pipes, PE Fittings, TF, PE valve & Warning Mat & any other free issue items as mentioned elsewhere in tender from designated stock yards to contractor's own stock-yards/ work-sites. Supply of HDPE casing and any item items other then FIM shall be provided by contrcator. Proper storing, stacking, identification, providing security and insurance cover for the materials. Liaisoning with landowning agencies/ statutory authorities, preparation of detailed route plan, making trial pits to determine the underground utilities/ services etc., obtaining permission from landowning agencies (separately payable as per other SOR Item). Restoration of the abandoned excavation/ trial pits as per satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge (EIC)/ Site-in-charge (SIC) to original condition, barricading the work area as per the procedures & drawings provided in the tender and as per the directions of EIC/ SIC; uncoiling/ stringing of pipes, jointing of the pipe ends/ fittings/ valves by qualified personnel, using approved electro fusion techniques as per specification. Entire work shall be executed as per scope of work, specification, PNGRB T4S and/or any other specification as per requirement of statutory authorities. |
| 3 | Laying using any method (open trench, moling and HDD) in all kind of soil (normal/ hard) with all kind of surface (kachha/ pacca) with or without casing pipe; it includes survey of the under ground utilities, submission of HDD profile for approval, execution of the work as per specification, PNGRB T4S and/or any other specification as per requirement of statutory authorities, including excavation of pits, moling with hole size not exceeding 20% of the the carrier/ casing pipe dia. jointing and insertion of the carrier pipe in casing pipe (on case to case basis) and subsequent backfilling, compaction, submission of as-built drawing, as graphs as per attached specification and instructions of ElC/ SIC of owner. Includes laying of pipeline in all type of surface including kutcha, metal, concrete (PCC/RCC), bituminous, tiled, bricklined etc. after raking up of hard surface of any type. Roads, pavement, footpaths etc. shall be made motorable once the pipeline is laid. Includes minimum 300 mm (150mm below the pipeline & 150 mm above the pipeline) loos soil/sand bedding & padding in all kind of soil (normal/ hard/ rocky), & laying of warning mat above pipeline. Trench shall be filled by normal/ soft soil and no sharp rock/ boulders to be used for backfilling.Restoration of road/footpath( metal, concrete (PCC/RCC), bituminous, tiled, bricklined etc) shall be done by separate line item of SOR if required). |
| 4 | Flushing, cleaning, pneumatic testing, purging with nitrogen and commissioning as per scope of work, specification and approved procedures providing all tools and tackles, nitrogen, instruments, manpower and other related accessories and as per instructions of the EIC/ SIC. Maintaining the completed pipelines/ installation for any defect, failures during defect liability period. |
| 5 | Handing over the completed works to owner for their operation/ use, returning of all surplus material to owner stores, reconciliation of free issue material area wise and obtaining no objection certificate. |
| 6 | On completion of gas charging of pipelines, preparation and submission of as-built drawings, crossings details, termination, utility graphs and deviation statements. Submission of all documents required for contract closure in numbers as mentioned in contract. |
| 7 | In case more than 1 MDPE pipelines are laid in a common trench, SOR rate of higher dia plus 1/3rd SOR rate of lower dia will be paid. |
