| 1 | Deployment of labour for cleaning and maintenance of lake / water body Deployment of labour (One No. Semi-Skilled and 2 Nos. Unskilled) with necessary safety arrangements for cleaning and maintenance of lake/water body, including removal of floating plants and other waste materials such as trash, empty bottles, polythene bags, dead leaves, tree branches and similar floating debris from the lake/water body. The work also includes removal of bio-sludge/organic solids generated during the cleaning process, clearing of grass, weeds and unwanted vegetation from the banks/berms around the lake/water body and Collected waste shall be Segregated where possible, Transported daily and safely disposed at designated MCD dustbins / approved disposal sites. The item further includes dosing/spraying of microbial culture/pond cleaner for improvement of water quality, deployment of necessary T&P, safety arrangements, boat, nets and all incidental operations required for effective cleaning and maintenance of the water body. All complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.Notes:-1. The rate shall be inclusive of cost of labour, T&P, dosing/spraying equipment, preparation of dosing solution, boat, nets, safety arrangements and all incidental charges required for execution of the work (excluding microbial culture/pond cleaner).2. Nothing extra shall be paid on any account. |
| 2 | Providing, supplying & storing microbial culture / pond cleaner in lake / water bodyProviding, supplying & storing at site of approved microbial culture / bio-enzyme based pond cleaner in the lake / water body for improvement of water quality and control of algae growth. The microbial culture shall be capable of biological degradation of organic matter, reduction of sludge formation, control of green algae and improvement of dissolved oxygen levels in the water body. All complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.Notes:-1. The microbial culture available in powder/liquid form shall consist of eco-friendly, non-toxic and non-pathogenic microbial consortium, which shall not cause any adverse impact on aquatic life, surrounding vegetation, agriculture or public health.2. The product shall be of reputed make such as Persnickety 713 Biozyme, Acuro S50, Neerveda, Bioclean Pond Cleaner, Bacta Serve, Profect or equivalent approved product.3. The microbial culture shall be dosed/ sprayed in the lake/water body as required. The dosing shall generally be 2 to 3 kg per acre per day for routine maintenance, while shock dosing of up to 3–5 kg per acre per month may be carried out during heavy algal bloom or deterioration of water quality, with an average dosing range of 2-3 kg per day depending upon seasonal conditions, water volume and pollution load, in order to maintain water quality parameters within the permissible limits prescribed by DPCC / CPCB / NGT / Environment Protection Act standards.4. However, the quantity and frequency of dosing shall be varied and to be decided based on water quality parameters.5. The item includes transportation and storage for microbial culture, required for treatment of the lake/water body.6. Nothing extra shall be paid on any account. |
| 3 | Collection and testing of water samples of lake / water body through EPA laboratory approved by DPCC/CPCB/NGT.Conducting collection of water samples from the lake/water body and carrying out testing through EPA laboratory approved by DPCC/CPCB/NGT, accredited by NABL, in compliance with the guidelines of the NGT, CPCB, DPCC and Environment Protection Act. The work shall include sampling, preservation, transportation, testing and submission of authenticated laboratory reports for monitoring the water quality of the lake/water body. The objective of the testing shall be to ensure that water quality parameters remain within the permissible limits prescribed under DPCC / CPCB / NGT / Environment Protection Act standards. The laboratory testing shall include analysis of the following physico-chemical parameters, or any additional parameters as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge:• pH• Total Suspended Solids (TSS)• Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)• Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) – (3 days at 27°C)• Dissolved Oxygen (DO)• Oil & Grease• Ammonical Nitrogen (as NH₃-N)• Dissolved Phosphates (as P)• Nitrates / Sulphates (if required)• Any other relevant physico-chemical or biological parameters required under environmental regulations. The agency shall make arrangements for minimum one laboratory test of lake water every month, or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, and submit duly authenticated laboratory test reports. All complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.Notes:-1. The rate shall be inclusive of cost of sampling, sample containers, preservation chemicals, transportation and laboratory testing charges and submission of authenticated laboratory test reports.2. Nothing extra shall be paid on any account. |
