Raising to the existing road level, cast iron manhole covers with frames fixed in RCC cover slabs of manholes of cable ducts laid along public roads and buried under BT layers of roads, involving the following operations:

Liaisoning with PWD /Local Body/ local Police (Traffic) etc for obtaining permission for road cutting and diversion of traffic etc

Providing security fencing around the manhole using MS pipes (fixed vertically and horizontally) or with honeycomb laterite stone work and providing warning lighting arrangements with dark red danger signal on both sides. The work is to be carried out without causing any hindrance to the traffic and with due co-ordination with traffic police and other concerned authorities.

Cutting the bituminous road surface to required depth and dimensions ( a maximum of 1.2m X 1.2m X 0.2m) including disposal of unserviceable materials to the nearest local body dumping yard.

Taking out the manhole cover with frame from existing position, after removing the concrete alround the frame by cutting the RCC slab by chiselling or by using delicate cutting machines, exercising extreme care not to damage them.

Raising the manhole necks to the required height with cement concrete 1:1:2 (1 cement :1 coarse sand :2 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size ) mixed with quick setting admixtures, by providing necessary smooth sheet metal shuttering to the exposed neck wall to form an even surface etc, including fixing the cover frame in position true to line and level .

Providing and laying cement concrete 1:1.5:3 (1 cement: 1.5 Coarse sand: 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) over the BT removed portions of the manhole, to form an even and uniform road surface.

Keeping the security fencings, signals etc. until the curring period is over and removing them after completion of the work including clearing the manhole premises etc.

The work shall be carried out only during periods (day / night) permitted by the traffic authorities. Curing shall be done for a minimum period of 7 days for all concrete works. CI cover nominal internal dia 650mm and total wt including frame 208Kg.

(The rate is inclusive of the cost of all necessary materials, labours charges, hire charges for all tools, plants & accessories and any other incidential charges etc. to carry out all the activities detailed above.)

Extra work for cutting concrete road in front of M/s Suthan Gold Jewellers upto a depth 60 cm for taking out original cast iron manhole frames existed on the cable duct Manhole top slab and concreting with cement concrete 1:1.5:3 ( 1 cement: 1 coarse sand:3 hard stone aggregate) mixed with accelerating admixtures for the manhole neck for 1.50x1.50x0.40 mtr size Please Enable Macros to View BoQ information
