| 6 | Quantity of pipes has been indicated in running meters of AS-ERECTED pipe length. No allowance for wastage for cutting, welding, edge-preparation, etc. shall be given and the mode of measurement of erected pipe line shall be tape measurements on top of the pipe line after coating/painting & installation. |
| 7 | Wherever the Mandatory Spares quantity has been indicated for each type, size, rating, etc. of the equipment to be supplied and installed, Bidder shall quote the prices above, considering the quantity of mandatory spares to be supplied corresponding to the supply and installation of entire population of the equipment covering all the type, size, rating, etc. |
| 8 | Unless stated otherwise a ‘Set’ or 'Pack' means items or sub-items required for each type/size range of the assembly/sub-assembly, required for complete replacement in one unit. It is further, intended that the assembly/sub-assembly which have different orientation (like left hand or right hand, top or bottom), different direction of mirror image positioning or any other reasons which result in maintaining two different sets of the spares to be used for the subject assembly/sub-assembly, these shall be considered as different types of assembly/sub-assembly. |
| 9 | Identification: Each spare shall be clearly marked and labeled on the outside of the packing with its description. When more than one spare part is packed in single case, a general description of the contents shall be shown on the outside of such case and a detailed list enclosed. All cases, containers and other packages must be suitably marked and numbered for the purpose of identification. |
| 10 | In case spares indicated in the list are not applicable to the particular design offered by the Bidder, the Bidder should offer spares applicable to offered design with quantities generally in line with approach followed in the above list. |
| 11 | The BOQ shall be read in conjunction with Section-VI, Technical Specification. |
| 12 | In case the description / quantity for any item mentioned in Schedule is at variance from what has been stated in Technical Specification and its subsequent amendments and clarifications, the stipulations of Technical Specification and its subsequent amendments and clarifications shall prevail. |
| 13 | Price of each and every item is to be given separately. Bidder shall not indicate “Not Applicable” against any of the spare (except for those items for which “if applicable” is specified). In case of not applicability, functionally equivalent spare to be mentioned with price in the relevant price schedules. In case, bidder mentions 'Not Applicable' for items specified against “if applicable” in the bid and later on the same Spare is found to be applicable during detailed engineering, the vendor shall supply such spares free of cost. |
