| 1 | Excavation in earthwork in hilly area in all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of ordinary soil, ordinary rock & hard rocks. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/ excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawing and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge, in conformity with the requirement of MoRD technical specification for Rural Road, Section 300 & 1600 to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe manner and disposal of all surplus material to the approved dumping sites through all modes of transportation including head load and animal transport and mechanical means and labour if required. During the mobilisation period, contractor should take the advanced x-sec in 15m interval of whole road length in the presence of Engineer-in-charge or his representative. In case the advanced X-sec has been taken in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge representative, in that case the same has to be got approved from Engineer-in-Charge. The land for dumping sites shall be arranged by the contractors himself and nothing extra shall be paid on this account,filling of unevenness blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer in-charge for smooth riding. The recovery for stones, whether useful or 3874.39 cum. (Three thousand eight hundred seventy four and point thirty nine) cubic metre at the rate of Rupees 300/- only (Rupees three hundred) per cubic metre shall be effected on pro rata basis in all circumstances. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. |
| 2 | Construction of embankment with approved materials deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meet requirement including setting out, true to the lines, grades, width and side slopes in accordance with drawing including spreading the embankment material with motor grader in successive layer of in layer 200mm (two hundred millimetre) uniforms thickness and compacting with vibratory roller 8-10 ( eight to ten) tonne static weight to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per MORD Technical Specification section 300 & 1600 and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts and other incidentals. The lower plate will be welded with MS angle iron frame of 25mmx 25mmx 5mm (Twenty five millimetre into twenty five milimetres into five millimetre).
