Name of Work:- Incomer cable laying and associated works of Process MCC for ARP modification project

Laying, dressing and clamping of 3.5C X 400 sq.mm A2XFY cables, between PCC-1 and new MCC panel erected inside newly built MCC room located at west side of ARP plant through newly laid cable trays / structures / racks / columns / trenches etc., by using aluminium clamps and GI nuts, bolts etc. as per standards. The cables should be neatly dressed and clamped as per standards. Cable shall be supplied by KMML, at Central Stores/ERS. Transportation of cables from Central Stores/ERS to site is in the scope of the contractor. All other materials required are under the scope of contractor. Balance cables against the work shall be segregated, coiled and shifted to metallic scrap yard/ERS. (1 run=500 m approximately)

Glanding, termination and connection of 3.5C X 400 sq.mm A2XFY cables using DC glands and lugs. Gland earthing as per standards shall be done by the contractor. Supply of dc cable glands, aluminium crimping lugs, insulation tapes, washers, nuts, bolts etc. required for this work in the scope of the contractor. All cables shall be identified with laser engraved plates of high-quality aluminium at cable raisers at MCC side and plant side each at suitable locations.

Fabrication and erection of new MS support for laying cable trays and cables inside the plant, as recommended by the concerned area engineer. MS items shall be shot blasted which is under contractor's scope. Newly fabricated supports shall be painted with two coats of primer and two coats of paint before installation and remaining one coat of paint shall be provided after erection. MS items shall be supplied by KMML. Required paint / primer (Make: Asian/Nerolac/ Shalimar/ Berger) shall be supplied by contractor. KMML painting procedure to be followed. Balance/ scrap structural supports against the work shall be segregated and shifted to metallic scrap yard.

Erection of new 600 mm GI ladder type cable tray on supports. Tray shall be joined with GI side coupler with Stainless Steel Bolts & Nuts. The coupling holes shall be modified for proper coupling, if required. The cables should be neatly dressed and clamped as per standards. Required quantity of GI cable trays, coupling plates, nuts and bolts shall be supplied by KMML. All other materials required shall be supplied by contractor. Balance/scrap cable trays shall be segregated and shifted to metallic scrap yard.

Laying and clamping of GI earth strips 65 x 10 mm along cable trays/walls & connecting to the nearest earth pit/earth grid. Welded joints shall be covered with jute & bitumen. 65 x 10 mm GI earth strip shall be supplied by KMML. All other materials required shall be supplied by the contractor.
