| 18 | Waterproofing for old and new roof slab: - Providing and laying waterproofing treatment of roof slab by applying two Component, factory designed, ready to use, acrylic modified flexible material applied with a brush, roller or spray waterproofing coating as per manufacture specification with following steps:- (a) Surface preparation: - providing and cleaning of the concrete surface to remove dust, oil, and grease including removal of existing loose paint/coating, and laitance by cleaning with compressed air and water jet including all materials, labour, tools complete. Ponding test to be done after plugging all outlets and to be checked from soffit to identify seepage, and leakage. On identification of seepage, cement grouting to be done with non-shrink expanding admixture of sika India Pvt. Ltd. / MYK Schomberg / Dr. Fixit/ Fosroc or equivalent. Providing and repairing all corners and joints such as those between the parapet wall and roof slab etc shall be chamfered with 150mm X 150mm fillet with mortar ( cement: sand- 1:4) admixed with an acrylic polymer of sika/ Fosroc/ MYK Schomberg / Dr. Fixit/ Fosroc or equivalent. Before chamfering, a prime coat shall be given with the slurry of acrylic polymer. Repairing surface irregularities, damaged concrete base slab, dead crack if any, with acrylic polymer modification repair mortar including a coat of bonding agent of the same with cement slurry including all material, labour, tools complete.(b) 1st coat:- Apply 1st coat of two-component acrylic modified, ready to use, flexible cementitious material on the surface dry roof and inside wall of parapet wall up to 600 mm by brush or roller. after 1st coat of application, 45gsm of fiberglass cloth to lay when the first layer is still green. 1st coat should be applied @ 1.50 kg/Sqmt/coat. For measurement will be measured (c) 2nd coat:- To apply the 2nd coat of two-component acrylic modified ready to use, flexible cementitious material right angle to the 1st coat over the glass surface. 2nd coat should be applied @ 0.7 kg /sqm/coat. For measurement, Cheniere treated surface will be measured. After three days of drying the 2nd coat. the rainwater outlet is to be plugged and a ponding test is to be done for 48 hours to identify seepage, leakage from the soffit, and if found necessary rectification is to be done as per the satisfaction of E/C. the waterproof coating is to be protected from damage before screed over it. Waterproofing bond:- Sika top seal 109i / Fosroc brush bond RFX/Dr. Fixit pidiffin 2k / MYK Aquafin TG. Product Performance- chemical base part A: acrylic copolymer, Part B: specially graded cementitious powder density 1.6kg/l (mixed density) at +27 degree c tensile strength ~ 2N/mm2 after 28days (with fiber cloth )( According to ASTM D 2370) pull out bond strength ~ 2N/mm2 (concrete failure) (According to ISO 4624) Slant- Shear Bond strength ~4N/mm2 (According to FIP 5.15) elongation at Break ~35% without Fiber Cloth and 20% with Fiber Cloth (According to ASTM D 2370)(d) Protection of the treated surface with PCC:- the treated surface should be covered with 25mm/50mm PCC of M-20 grade (1:1.5:3) with proper slope (1:120) toward the rain outlet in Alterna panel of 2mtx2mt keeping 6mm gape between the plane joint integral waterproofing admixture conforming to IS 2645 @ of 100ml per bag of cement to be added in the screed concrete ( paid separately for this item) all corner shall be chamfered with 150mm x 150mm fillet. The rainwater outlet shall be just leveled with the screed concrete to ensure smooth discharge of water- the peripheral gapes between PVC pipe outlet and concrete surface should be packed properly with rich concrete and the peripheral mouth to be sealed with moisture insensitive epoxy putty of sika/ Fosroc/ MYK Schomberg / Dr. Fixit/ Fosroc. For measurement, the entire treated surface will be measured(e) Groove of PCC surface should be filled with polysulphide sealant. (paid separately) . brand- sika/ Fosroc/ MYK Schomberg / Dr. Fixit/ Fosroc. Warranty for five years. |
