Providing, laying and fixing of carpet tiles of approved shade in the SAB Conference Room at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, including all preparatory works such as surface cleaning, leveling, application of approved adhesive, proper alignment, cutting, and finishing, complete in all respects. Make: Welspun / Harrington / Divine / Interface / Milliken or equivalent make to be approved by Engineer in-charge. (Final payment will be calculated as per the actual measurement for work executed at site).

The carpet tiles shall be of tufted high and low loop construction, manufactured using 100% solution dyed nylon yarn with a gauge of 1/12 inch. The pile weight shall be 550 g/m² (16 oz/yd²), with pile thickness ranging from 2.8 mm to 5.0 mm (±0.5 mm) and an overall thickness of 7 mm (±0.5 mm). The tiles shall be backed with PVC-free E-Bac or equivalent to ensure dimensional stability and environmental compliance, and shall be of size 50 cm x 50 cm. Providing and installation of matching skirting along walls and vertical surfaces, complete with proper finishing. The carpet tiles shall meet flammability requirements as per ASTM E648-10 Class 1, smoke density as per ASTM E662, and static control as per AATCC-134, and shall be suitable for heavy commercial and high-traffic areas, complete as per specifications and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.
