Power Optimizer DC/DC converter with constant string voltage feature and which is connected to each PV module (upto 9kWp) or only one for every 2 PV Modules (>=10kWp) to provide individual module level maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for mitigating all types of modules mismatch loss, manufacturing tolerances and Partial shading. Power Optimizer should also be capable for advanced, real-time performance measurement with the help of control and communication gateway. The Optimizer to be able to instantaneously clamp DC voltage to 1V DC (safe DC) per optimizer when AC power is shut off for installer and firefighter safety and having technical specification complete all as specified and directedc) Power Conditioning Unit (PCU) of 350-800 V DC Input voltage range and 400 V AC, three phase, 4 wire, 50Hz +/- 2.5 Hz, output voltage suitable to generate AC Power with efficiency not less than 97%, total harmonic distortion less than 3% and suitable for ambient temperature from 0 to 50 degree C. The PCU shall adjust the voltage and frequency level to suit the Grid Voltage Frequency. PCU should have all required components like inverter ,solar charge controller ,gate charger, load management system etc. and inverter string as per details given in para (d) below. ( d) Solar Grid Tie String Inverters with DC Safety Unit. The grid tie inverter should be designed to work with Power Optimizers module level MPPT (Module Power Point Tracking) providing constant string voltage and should have anti-Islanding feature. The inverter shall have an efficiency of at least 92% at 75% load. PCU shall have the facility of recording solar energy (KWh) generated at the output of PCU in addition to PV voltage, PV amps, Instantaneous PV power, daily PV power generated & cumulative PV power generated. Remote as well as local monitoring shall be provided. Module level Monitoring feature (to record all the important operational parameters and all the events) to monitor plant performance through external PC shall be provided. The communication shall be in such a way that the PCU can be monitored with the help of appropriate software from the centralized system |
| 72 | The PCU shall have the facility to provide the analysis for reason of tripping, in cases of inadvertent tripping complete all as specified and directed (e) ACDB panel of 50 KW with minimum 02 Input 01 Out put with multi functioning meter, CCBs, net metering, and other reqd components and surge Protection Device completely. (v) All the above boards/panels shall be metal enclosed, 415V switchgear type, complete with suitably rated all as specified and directed. |
| 73 | f)The photovoltaic modules, mounting structure, Balance of system (BOS) and other components of power plant require proper grounding for protection against any serious earth faults. Redundant earthing methodology with two independent earth connections from each system has to be ensured for all the systems and equipment as given in the standards. For outdoor power electrical equipment, if any, earthing system network / earth-mat shall be interconnected mesh of mild steel rods buried in ground. For other areas in the solar plant, such as transformer area, switchgear area, etc. the earthing system shall consist of minimum two parallel conductors interconnected together. The detailed earthing design and calculation duly certified by Chartered Electrical Engineer shall be submitted for EIC approval. All the necessary statutory approvals, if any required, for the system shall be taken from nodal agencies complete all as specified and directed.(g) Data Monitoring System complete with accessories. |
