| 11 | Material and labour for factory repair/overhauling of distribution transformer of capacity 75 kVA to 315 kVA (11 kV/433 V), comprising: Opening of top cover by unscrewing nuts, bolts, washers, etc., and withdrawing core-coil assembly from tank after disconnecting tap changer, HT & LT side bushings, and associated connections including dismantling of channels and disconnection of star-delta connections. Complete dismantling and inspection of core-coil assembly, including removal of all three limbs (HV & LV windings) from core. Cleaning of core and components by hot oil circulation to remove carbon deposits and copper particles, including cleaning of top yoke. Reassembly of core and core-coil assembly, including provision of new coils and tap changer leads, with required insulation materials. Re-fitting and tightening of top cover, fixing of HT & LT bushings, and reconnection of all associated systems including tap changer, WTI, OTI, and CT connections. Filling of transformer oil, making the conservator tank ready, and carrying out final testing, complete in all respects in presence of MES representative and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Cost of coils, insulation materials, and topping up of new oil shall be measured and paid separately. |

Checking of spring charging mechanism including spring tension and mechanical linkages. 4. Checking cluster contacts, jaw contacts and arcing contacts and adjustment if required. 5. Checking for rust, wear, deformation and mechanical damage. 6. Checking and tightening of loose bolts, nuts, spring washers and split pins. 7. Checking dashpot / shock absorbers and replacing if required. 8. Checking carbon brushes of spring charging motor and replacing if required. 9. Checking operation of closing coil and tripping coil. 10. Checking mechanical and electrical interlocking system.(B) HT Panel Servicing: 1. Cleaning of HT panel compartments including breaker chamber, cable chamber and busbar chamber. 2. Checking and tightening of power cable and control wiring connections. 3. Checking condition of busbars, support insulators and epoxy insulation. 4. Checking auxiliary switches, indication lamps and control switches. 5. Checking anti-condensation heaters and thermostat operation. 6. Checking panel door locks, gaskets and earthing connections. (C) Electrical Tests of Breaker: 1. Insulation resistance test with megger in open and closed condition. 2. Contact resistance measurement of all three poles using micro-ohmmeter. 3. Closing and opening timing test of breaker for all three poles using breaker analyzer. 4. Measurement of closing coil resistance. 5. Measurement of tripping coil resistance. 6. Primary injection test of CT / PT. (D) Protection Relay Calibration and Testing: 1. Testing, calibration and programming of numerical Over Current / Earth Fault protection relay using secondary injection test kit. 2. Verification of relay pickup current and time characteristics. 3. Verification of instantaneous trip setting. 4. Functional trip test with breaker operation. 5. Testing of auxiliary relays including. 6. DC supply supervision relay. 7. Master trip relay. (E) Special Tests: 1. Dynamic Contact Resistance Measurement (DCRM) test for all poles of VCB. 2. Trip circuit supervision test including checking of trip coil continuity and DC supply. 3. Secondary injection test for protection relay. 4. Functional checking of alarm, trip and indication circuits. (F) Functional Checks: 1. Checking breaker ON/OFF operation locally and from control panel. 2. Checking electrical and mechanical interlocks. 3. Verification of CT polarity and connections. 4. Checking annunciation and indication circuits. 5. Checking control wiring and terminal tightness. (G) Documentation: 1. Submission of complete servicing, testing and relay calibration report in soft and hard copy. 2. Recording of relay settings, breaker timing results and insulation resistance values.Note: 1. Spare parts such as vacuum interrupter, auxiliary switches, motor gear assembly, coils, heaters, contacts etc. shall be measured and paid separately under respective BOQ items. 2. All works shall be carried out with approved testing instruments and necessary safety precautions. |
