| 1 | M & L for disconnecting and stopping of incoming and outgoing pipes by means of hesian cloth to avoid choking of distribution pipe lines, removing complete water from the over head tank cleaning of over head tanks any staging hight of capacity 50000 gallon in Fort Cantt,Prayagraj including writing date of cleaning on over head tank on pillar with synthetic enamel paint, including painting with one coat synthetic enamel paint after cleaning of steel surface and pipes with existing shade and apply two coat of weather proof paint with admixtures (in any colour or tint as approved by GE) on wall/ concrete surface / pillar /dome and ceiling of RCC OH tank on external surface after brooming/scraping down of old surface with preparation of surface with writing on OH tank on pillar date of cleaning , capacity of tank & including repairs of wire net/mesh of stainless steel wire 1.4 mm dia fixed with tacks of ventilation of tank as directed by Engineer- in -Charge comprising of pre operations mentioned below:- (a) In the first step dewatering of the tank shall be carried out by opening drain out valve (b) In the second step,removal of left over dirty water and sludge with suitable sludge removal pump shall be carried out. |

(c) In the third step,cleaning of internal walls,floors,ceiling of tank shall be carried out by high jet pressure of machine of water shall not be less than 80-120 bar and ensured that no dirt,sludge or moss remain on surface of tank. (d) In the fourth step,the remaining sludge shall be removed from the floor with the help of industrial vaccum cleaner. (e) In the fifth step,tank shall be sterilized by spraying anti bacterial agent using same high pressure machine. This agent should be of agent tank cleaning or equivalent as approved by GE. Dose of this agent must be as per OCED guidelines 423 adopted on 17 Dec 2011 (i.e. 1 litre of concentrated agent mixed with 40 ltrs water to produce mixture 1 litre of this mixture shall be used to disinfect 10000 ltrs capacity tanks and higher capacity tanks in position. (f) In the last step,treatment of inside of tank by exploring UV radiation to kill further suspended or floating bacteria. This is to be done by glowing UV lamp inside tank as per NSF standard 55-1991(I.e. 16000 µW-sec/Cm² or in other words 3-5 minutes according to capacity of tank) |
| 3 | Contd/.... Note:- (i) The work should be got executed through reputed specilized water tank cleaner and shall be approved by GE before commecement of work. (ii) After completion of work a certificate regarding bacteria free shall be submitted to Deptt by the contractor for satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge duly signed. (iii) Coloured photographic evidence of stage wise cleanig of OHT shall be submitted in duplicate to the Deptt. (iv) Date of cleaning and capacity of tank will be written on OHT with paint with letters or figures (Block, Roman) not less then 300mm high complete all as directed. (v) The cost for above requirement is deemed to be included in the unit quated rates and no extra payment shall be made on this account & not any claim entertaned at later stage on this purpose. |

| 7 | Supply and Mixing Calcium based granular disinfectant for water treat ment drinking water with 60 to 70 % chlorine contents by volume conforming to IS-15738 in sealed plastic containers of 45 kg, as required on monthly basis with manufacturer's chlorine test certificate and manufacturer's date marked not more than 02 week old , complete all as specified and directed.NOTES:- (i) Approval of chemical (Calcium granular) shall be given after verification of test certificates of chemical of various manufactures and other factors like chemical and safety and health hazard aspects of usage of chlorination(ii) The brand/make of the chlorination of chemical must be stated before procurement and certified by govt laboratory that it is free from the technical strength stahbility health safety and operation point of view this product is ued for drinking water applications for consumption by humans and the brand /make of calcium hypochlorite is suitable for drinking water chlorination and its sample has been tested by Govt Laboratory. |
