Steps 2 : Staining : Any cracks or holes shall be filled with wood filler of good quality. After the wood filler has dried completly sanding with a stain of approved shade will be then applied to the prepared surface with the help of a soft malmal cloth or brush along the grain'. two to three coats of staining will be done letting the stain dry completly between each coats and sanding every time very fine grit sand paper (220-320). NOTE: Excess stain should be wiped off before drying and getting absorbed in wood. Step 3 Polishing : Wood will be finished with a good quality french polish (mixture of shellac grains and methylated spirit in ratio 1:10) two to three coats shall be applied to prepared wood surface letting each coat to dry and absorbed fine sanding can be done if required, Polish shall be applied with a soft cloth/ brush along the grains and not against it to achieve high gloss complete all as specified and directed. |
