| 30 | Painting of tower (Light / Heavy weight)including ladder, antenna mounts, cable trays, gantry etc. as per the following operations:a) Cleaning of the tower to get rid of peeled off paint, dust, rusting, dirt etc. by sand paper and finally with a clean cloth. b) Over the cleaned surface of tower a coat of Etch primer [which consists of polyvinyl butyral phosphoric acid catalyst and zinc chromate base and are supplied separately. They should be mixed before use in the specified ratio as specified by the manufacturer] shall be applied uniformly. c) Over the etch primer coat, one coat of zinc chromate primer of approved brand and manufacturer shall be applied. d) Finally two coats of enamel paint shall be applied as per aviation guidelines and ad per the directions of Engineer-in-charge. [paint / primer used shall be of reputed manufactures like Asian/Shalimar/Berger ].Each item of work from (a) to (d) shall be done after the inspection of the BSNL officer . (a) 30m Tower |
| 31 | Providing GI plate earth including excavation of pit of size 2000x2000x3000mm depth in all kinds of soils and placing four numbers of G I plates of size 600x600x6 mm thick vertically at diagonally opposite ends in the excavated pit and inter connecting the plates with 4 Nos. of 50x3mm G I strips with 2 no.s of G I bolts and nuts of 10mm dia at each connection and covering the joints with bitumen, placing G I pipe of 50mm internal dia ( B Class) and 3000mm length at the center of the plate grid for watering and filling the pit with fine ash and / or finally sieved good quality soil including ramming in 20 cm layers etc. complete and cover the pit with 750x750x50mm thick precast reinforced cement concrete slab having 100mm dia hole at the centre to pass the GI pipe and construct a chamber having:(a) Internal size not less than 280x280x250mm with half brick wall including fixing CI manhole cover of size 300x300mm of weight not less than 7.20 Kg. (cover & frame) and plastering the chamber on all sides with cement mortar 1:4 of 12mm thick (1 cement : 4 fine sand) and including disposal of surplus excavated earth if any within a distance of 5 Km lead as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |

| 34 | Providing and fixing copper lightning conductor of 1500mm length, 25mm dia hollow tube of wall thickness not less than 1.6mm including tinning the bottom portion of the spike for a length not less than 150 mm (lightning conductor to be fixed at the top of the tower) and connecting the GI bus bar to the lightning arrester using 2 Nos. 10 mm dia brass bolts and nuts all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. | 35 | Providing GI bus bar of 50 x 3 mm connected to the tinned bottom portion of lightning conductor and to the ring earth/plate earth with 2 no.s of 10 mm dia GI nuts & bolts [with lead sheath in between] at each connection. The bus bar shall be drawn through heat shrink sleeve and shall be shrunk properly. The bus bar shall be clamped to the tower/ building walls at uniform interval of 1.5 Mt.. using proper GI clamps and ceramic insulators such that the bus bar shall be well insulated from the tower building walls all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
